Watching AT's highlights, he's pretty good from deep.

I didn't expect that. Dude is legit.

Seems like a really good kid too based on that video.

Does this mean we might be telling Javian or Reese to hit the road

Only if Petty comes back, then I guess Javian would be asked to leave/forced out.

ETA: i'm assuming Javian because of some of the comments Harper has made in the past about Javian along with the really favorable comments Oats has made about Reese.

I Don't understand Alex Tchikou's 2020 ranking on 247, they had him ranked 30th before he reclassified and now they have him at 82nd. To have him not ranked as a top 40 player is laughable. Rivals has him at 35th.

Yep. And that’s why the season is gonna get cancelled because Bama Basketball can’t have anything good

I worry about Frenchie bonding with teammates because of the Language barrier. His barrier isn’t as big as the one Tua faced but still pretty big

After looking at his film I have changed my mind lol. Kid will probably be one and done for sure. Based off of potential alone.

I don’t think he’ll start his first year

Doesn't have to. If I recall James Harden didn't either and went top five in draft. I doubt he goes that high but with his size and ability he will surely get drafted if he enters.

I think he'd have ultimately been a top ~20 player after his senior year. Really, really love his game.

Spent the morning digging on Alex Tchikou and all the news is pointing to him committing to Alabama sooner rather than later. One source said it could be before the weekend is over. But bear in mind it's on his time table. So he announces when he wants to. If this happens, mad props have to be given to Bryan Hodgson who is the primary recruiter on Alex, too. You can't have a top class without a top recruiter and he's linked to every UA commitment. Tchikou would make this a top 10 class imo -- one of the best UA hoops has seen in a long time. Filled with long athletes who can score.
I spoke to a few old college sources, and some AAU people, and the comparisons for Tchikou ranged from Kevin Durant to Bol Bol lol. Quite a variety but all thought he was a big, skilled player with a big upside. Also, two NBA sources believe he's the one-and-done type, which wouldn't surprise the UA staff imo, but that speaks to the talent base he has. All agreed his best basketball is ahead of him.
On a side note the college coaches I spoke to were outside the SEC and all agreed Oats is a rising star and UA is lucky to have him. All said, he's a guy who knows how to build and sustain a program. He just had to get his guys on campus.

Hodgson is just as important as Oats IMO. We have to do whatever we can to keep him also. And I wouldn’t mind if Oats left for another job just naming Hodgson the Head Coach

Yes please. Obviously anything close to KD would be a best case scenario, but I'd take pre-injury Bol Bol in a heartbeat.

Is this going to give us a top 10 class?

*Edit. Nvm saw we're 22nd.

3 p.m. can't get here fast enough.
