Yeah, with Bruner and Rojas I just don’t see how him, Galin, and even Reese get much playing time

Reese can at least shoot. And maybe him knowing that he isn’t guaranteed playing time anymore will stop his laziness

Guess I don’t know the behind the scenes scoop but I figured Davis would have been the last one of the big guys to go if for no other reason that he young and has shown some potential I thought

I don't think it gained much traction but I remember reading that the person who was the target of the infamous "you only care about yourself" gif was Davis and not Reese.

I’m guessing we will keep Reese as that 3rd 5.......Galin, Davis, and Forbes leave

Didn’t know that.. thanks

Yeah, I read that too.
As fans, we don't really see the attitude and effort a player brings on daily basis.

Reeses gets a lot of hate but I don't think that there is one person in the chat that didn't praise him a couple times this year.

I’d be kinda bummed if Davis were to transfer. His once in a blue moon good game shows the potential he has. I think he could eventually turn into a solid player. I’d much rather see Forbes and Galin go if folks have to leave.

Yeah, I’d be a bit disappointed if he’s the one that is shown the door. I’d have him pretty easily ahead of Galin, Forbes and Reese.

Harper, is Muhammad the only other guy we are after?
Posted on 4/11/20 at 11:18 am to BigBird09
Agree. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that Davis isnt the lazy one. None of them can play above the rim, or are natural re-bounders though.

I could certainly see how Alex survives this reshuffling. Though it sure was painful to try and watch Oats push a round peg through a square hole all season. If you want to run and shoot in nanoseconds and play 4 and 5 out basketball, the more purging the better with this bunch.

Interesting...that would be a bit of a surprise relative to the way i've been thinking.
I have been vocal about wanting Galin to be the first to go, but i've changed my mind a bit I think.
Keeping Galin means we will have his scholarship open up for 2021 and it looks like we have been setting ourselves up pretty nicely for that class.
Galin, Reese, and Herb will be three for sure scholarships we will be able to hand out which could turn into four if Primo has a good enough year to be a lottery/first rounder that some think he is right now.

JD Davison and an athletic big (or two) to replace Bruner will be of upmost importance.

Bruner, Herb, Reese, Primo.....4 spots opened right there. Possibly 5 if Petty comes back. The numbers will work out
Posted on 4/11/20 at 11:36 am to mistaken4193
Yep, forgot to include Bruner in that.
I really like the idea of having back to back big classes to have basically 100% new blood in the program since the Oats era began.

I think Galin, Javian, and Forbes should all do the noble thing and go play for their Home State Bulldogs. Lord knows Howland could use them right about now.

Those are the first 3 that would go imo. Javian’s attitude is absolutely awful.
