I don’t either anymore. It used to be a decently fun board with some healthy debate and knowledgeable banter. Now it has devolved into almost nothing but ridiculous immature trolling that isn’t even close to clever.

Shack averaged 17 points per game in SEC play. I think you are wrong

He played very well don’t get me wrong, but he’s limited by his lack of athleticism and below average defense. Those two areas are where Primo is better and he’s just as good, if not better, shooter than Shack is. They can play together no doubt, but if it’s one or the other starting, it’ll be Primo.

The rant is insane right now with multiple threads about Wade. The L$U fans are deflecting, denying, and denigrating. Bunch of damn hypocrites. As was pointed out, remove the name Wade and insert Saban or Calipari and they would be up in arms, buying billboards demanding NCAA action. And William Taylor, the troll that never sleeps, was leading the charge with his incessant pictograms misspelling Alabama and Saban. They get so tiresome after a while. Gotta lay off tRant for a while. I’ve had my fill and then some.

I think literally every other fanbase would be freaking out wanting to know why the frick their administration not only didn't shitcan a coach who has put one of their revenue sports at risk of getting nuked, but has in fact backed him up, putting the entire athletics department at risk of getting slapped with lack of institutional control. Not LSU though. As usual it's all a big conspiracy against them.

I can understand the athleticism and defense argument, but I’d hold up on the shooting argument. Primo has to prove that.

Agreed. Better see primo play before we declare him the next coming. Hope he is but it remains to be seen.

If Oats wants to run run run, shoot shoot shoot then why not start Quinerly/Shackelford/Primo/Petty/Davis and let Herb come off the bench? Herb will still get 25-32 minutes per game.

That way, at the 4-5 spots you have a shooter at all times with each unit...
Starters: Petty/Davis, Petty spreads the floor
Bench: Rojas/Herb, Rojas spreads the floor

Davis & Herb together goes against everything Oats wants to do.

We arent efficient enough to run that lineup imo. Especially when we will basically have no rebounding. I thi k Herb has to start. Imo he is the best player on the team.

Petty averaged more rebounds than Herb.

Oats will have some tough decisions to make.

1) Petty won’t be back.
2) You need at least 2 good rebounders on the court at the same time. If Bruner comes, then he would definitely be 1, but Herb would start and be the other.
3) If Bruner doesn’t come to Alabama, then you could see a lot of Rojas at the 5 and Herb at the 4.

"Three NBA scouts called me yesterday. It's hard to get an eval on Herb. I think defensively he could play in the league for 15 years. He's got to get his offense up to par. I think that'll be pretty much the feedback we get, and he kinda knows that too."

"Kira seems like... it looks like... I mean he's not in everybody's first round, but he's probably in enough, from the feedback I'm getting. Him and his family are going to have to make a decision. Whoever drafts him, are they going to leave him with the big team, or are the going to try to assign him to the G-League - I think that's what they've got to figure out."

"Petty is the intriguing one. He's the big guy they're looking for the league right now. I think they've got him projected somewhere in the second round - anywhere in the second round to not drafted. If he's not going to get a guaranteed contract I think him and his mother are smart enough to where he should come back."

Yea Petty out of all needs to be back. Herb and Kira can both get on a team eventually. The fact that Petty wont have the ability to prove that he can dribble well and isnt just a streaky shooter in front of scouts is going to probably keep him from getting drafted imo.

Yea but those rebounds are more than likely coming from Herbs good defense. What Herb brings us defensive wise alone means he has to start imo.

So Herb gets credit for Pettys rebounds? Interesting.

Are Galin, Reese, and Javian's lack of rebounds attributed to Herb as well?

Petty and Herb were by far our best rebounders, pretty sad considering we had three guys who were 6'9 240+ who got regular minutes.

You guys know the light has come on for me now regarding Herb, I appreciate what the guy does. But, this is the worst take I have ever seen lol

I think most of us thought Herb was a liability on offense going into this season, and he turned into the team MVP. He would be harder to replace than Kira or Petty imo.
