Yeah. I'm 31 and have been on the list for football for 9 years (since I graduated) and never got offered tickets. I think I just recently got removed from the list.

BB, you listen to any of the ADs, and the younger generation is what they are concerned with. Y'all can put your little cartoons up there all you want, but that is exactly what they were discussing at the SEC meeting two weeks ago. That was the big topic of conversation. How do we get the younger generation to the games, and how do we keep them from leaving at half time. Should we create open plaza's where they can walk around. talk and look at their cell phones. Alabama's AD has been openly discussing it on talk shows.

Selling beer can only help keep some around. May not be a popular opinion IDK but it might keep some from hitting the parties early

Not official just what some random predicts. I would be OK with this matchup.

My idea for BDS is this....

Open the stadium at 10 for Gameday.
Put a different game on each of the 4 screens and make it where a person can hook up to that games audio through Bluetooth.

Example if Bama plays at 2:30

Open at 10
4 different 11:00 games
Shut off for Bama game
4 different 6:00 games.

Thats the main reason people dont wanna go is because they dont wanna give up a whole day of football for 1 game. This makes it where they dont have to.

Also make beer available.

ALL OF THIS. And show highlights from other games during the breaks in action (probably some type of issue with this with TV contracts, etc)

How did the B-ball thread turn into a BDS discussion? Lol

Anyway, 2020 top 30 Prospect, SF Earl Timberlake said he plans to visit Bama.

Based on my two days at tryouts, I would be surprised if Lewis was left off the team that heads to Greece. The guy looks like a legitimate contender for SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore because of his speed and ability to make things happen off of the dribble. He can also shoot. Bonus.

That sounds exactly like what Oats wants in his PG.

You can point fingers at the students leaving the student section in blowout wins just like I can point out that the majority of empty season ticket seats easily seen on camera at Coleman are the property of older generations. They’re both problems, but I’d most definitely prefer the old guys (or finding someone) to sit in those empty seats and leaving when the game is well in hand rather than not show up at all. Personally, I’d stay during blowouts, but if the game is well in hand and people leave I’m not really that upset about it.

I wish they’d do this for Coleman and add the plazas as mentioned above so we can walk around and use our cell phones while watching the game. Seriously who wants to sit in the corners? Open that space up. Invite BWW or Dreamland to set up a restaurant so we can eat, drink and be at the game.

My God. Beer and barbeque. And an area where they can take their I phone for a romantic walk.

That's all the millennial needs to actually leave his garage and attend a game.

At LSU you see highlights of every SEC game and every top 15ish game during the game. Before the official pregame, UGA vs UK was on their screens as well.

Not saying you’re wrong. There probably is some issue, but it’s not impossible.

A&M showed some other games as well the last time I went, but it was fairly rare if I remember correctly.

Let’s face it. Everybody loses when a man of a certain age gets stuck in the middle of a row. He can get as close to the toilet as possible and still watch the game. It ain’t just for millennials.

Here's the Earl Timberlake quotes where he mentioned Alabama.

quote:

What schools do you have in mind that you want to visit? I want to go to Alabama, for sure, that’s one. Pittsburgh, take an official there, maybe Seton Hall.

quote:

With the new coaching staff at Alabama, what has been their pitch with you? Coach Oats and Coach Bryan always preach to me that I fit their playing style, they get out and run, and that’s what I do.

He has already visited South Caoline and Louisville.

Really like his film, aggressive driving to the basket, plays with a lot of toughness, good defender, good shot blocker and rebounder, can shoot the 3.

highlights
