Reese needs something to intensify himself. He is just too laid back. Maybe Oats will stick a cattle prod up his but in practice. He just has to learn to play consistently harder. He would never see the floor with Wimp coaching unless he changed his work ethic. He has a couple of games where he makes a few shots and people think he is a great player.
One thing we will have on the team will be a good bit of experience. Several players with multiple years of college experience.

I think you guys don’t realize how detrimental Avery’s NBA coaching style retarded the development of players. Kids got frustrated and either didn’t try or didn’t know what to do simply because they weren’t coached properly and didn’t know what was expected of them. When you set no expectations or goals for a player and a team, you get exactly what you asked for: nothing. I’m not saying these guys are going to become NBA 1st rounders overnight, I’m not pumping that sunshine. But I do think with a good coach that has clear goals, and a plan in place on how to get there and what is expected of everyone along with consequences both good and bad for meeting or failing to meet them, you are going to see players like Petty and Herb become much better players.

If they were lazy or locker room cancers with bad attitudes, why stay? They had an opportunity to transfer just like everyone. They chose to remain. Don’t sell them short. All bad habits and bad play won’t go away overnight; they’ve had no direction for 4 years. But they have shown they want to improve and I think they will. A lot more than some of you think they will.

I think a lot of our rebounding woes will be cured just due to the increased effort Oats demands

I hope Oates delivers. So tired of coaches coming here and what they did at previous schools dont show up for us.

Arkansas just picked up a Sit 1 play 2 Guard. That should take them out of the Quinerly Sweepstakes.

Looks like its between Bama and Pitt...Technically UGA too but I dont think they are getting a visit.

I didnt even think we were in for it for Quinerly still. Id be shocked if he leaves the north/east.

Yes...we are very much in it.

Pitt probably is the favorite(pure guess) but if our visit blows him away you never know.

Bamafan probably has more info than me.

I’m not Bamafan, but I can tell you that Kira expects to play with Quinerly next season.

Michigan hired Juwan Howard. Weird hire for them. No head coaching experience and only 5 years as an assistant coach in the NBA.

Also, something to watch. Tevin Mack still hasn’t announced he’s coming back. I saw him and a Clemson player on twitter tweeting the eye emojis at each other like something is up. He’s from S.C. so it wouldn’t surprise me if he went back home to play for Clemson
