Size is better for sure. But based on film, I’m not sure about his athleticism though. I’d assume it’s better because of his ranking, but Shackelford is definitely quicker with the ball and he seems to play above the rim more than Forbes. Very hard to tell if a player is athletic in highlight films unless he’s a ball-handler or dunks a lot.

He seems like a guy that has put in a ton of work in practice to me. It looks less like pure talent and more like polished skills. I mean, it works, either way. As far as the dunks, he does seem to get a lot of dunks for a guy that's short and (in my opinion) not that great of a jumper. But, it seems like everyone on the court in his videos is exactly the same size. I'm a little suspicious of the level of competition he's playing. But, I like his aggressiveness and ability to throw it down anyway. You have to go for dunks to get dunks.

No, he's not a "fan of the university". If he was truly a fan in the sense of the word he would be coming to play at Alabama. If you want a fan of the university look at a guy like Lawson Schaeffer who passed up scholly's with smaller universities to walk on at Alabama.

Is Watford a 1&done type talent?
Maybe I’m wrong, but I’d like to see Oats take solid ball players that may not get the blue blood offers and develop senior laden teams.
Sure... throw in 1&done talent here and there when the opportunity comes around.
But it seems like now you just don’t see Sr. laden teams much anymore, for good reason.
Solid fundamental basketball will when you a lot games. Making free throws, we sucked arse at this! there’s no excuse at how poor we was at the line.
Turning the fricking ball over! Drove me absolutely crazy, no excuse how bad we was.
Inbounding the ball, fricking pathetic how bad we was, no excuse.
Chocking the lead away in the 2nd half like we was having a fricking anxiety attack like spong bob running around in circles screaming, no excuse.
If Oats can coach some fundamental basketball his first year I’ll be happy, instead of watching the shite show like we did this year.

Mack only got 1 year left. Its smart for him to declare, get feedback, and work on his game next year. I think he is going to thrive under Oats.

I fricking hate Memphis in every sport. That place is a damn cesspool of cheating and has been forever. Remember, that’s where Albert Means was from that nearly destroyed the football program although there were several other teams bidding for his services at the same time. Calipari cheated there. They have 6 probations back to 1958. Some things never change. They could give Auburn a run for their money for dirtiest programs.

Also,another reason him saying relationship is important is bullshite is....WE WERE RECRUITING HIM FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE PENNY GOT HIRED.....and they took the lead within 3 months.....dont feed me that bull$hit bro.

Avery is a reason he isnt coming but the main reason is they outbidded us. We probably were only willing to go so high....if those relationship$ were really that strong how did LSU take the lead before the Wade scandal???

Watford is ranked about the same coming out of HS as Petty was. While it would br great to get him he probably isn’t a program changing player.
