On another front, Finebum was saying yesterday that he had spoken to a person who is close to the situation, and according to Finebum, college bball fans better enjoy the next couple of weeks, because there is about to be a nuclear meltdown with the FBI investigation. He acted like it will be far reaching.

How can I blame the players
Very easily. They go to school for free and get additional stipends to play. Their job is to give effort.

With only 7 teams eligible for post season play next year we better not be on the bubble.

Thats true, but maybe part of their problem was not having a coach who pushed them to work hard in the off season to get better. Some of those skills are developed with long hours of repetition without a big crowd to cheer you own.
Did anyone think the white kid for Purdue reminded them of Larry Bird. He shot all the high arching fall away shots the got nothing but net.

He was amazing last night and that was a fantastic game to watch...so many clutch plays at the end of regulation.

Excellent point. You're gonna get me all fired up about the end of the season

I wouldn't pay much attention to anything finebaum says. If college bball is ever exposed, they're either going to have to shut every team down, or just tell everyone to stop cheating from that point on.

Everyone conveniently forgot about how we had to fire that guy who was having secret meetings with Sexton's handlers in Atlanta.
Glass houses and what not.

Yep - luckily we have ended up mostly on the Auburn side of the spectrum, which is basically that we had people involved looking out for themselves and trying to get kids to sign with agents and get to the NBA.
So far, nothing at all about us paying for players to come to Alabama. Seems like a pretty big distinction.

Greg Byrne: “We had a feeling (but no substantial evidence) Avery was a dirty SOB, and we fired his arse. What more did you want us to do?”

Arizona, LSU, and Louisville are all probably fricked sideways. Bill Self will run off to the NBA so the NCAA can justify letting Kansas go, and despite the surfacing of audio recordings in which Coach K explicitly states to Zion "we can offer you $200,000, a brand new Escalade, and a rent free house in Durham for your family if you sign with Duke", no action will be taken against them and the entire thing will be ignored.

To be fair, this seems like it’s implying that a ton of currently unknown shite is coming to light soon.

Yea - I guess my overall point is what's the worst that happens, we (along with 25% of the NCAA or more) have to forfeit games over the last few seasons?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I guess the actual worst case scenario is Oats is basically Will Wade of the MAC and we have to fire him 2 weeks later.

It’s sad that I could totally see something like that (maybe not this extreme) happening

Off topic, but what ever happened to the poster Maximum Overdrive? He had the cool movie name and the perfect Avi to go with it.
