Would be really nice to get Herb back for the TAMU game as Hunter and Cecil were speculating, that would mean he only misses two more games.

That stuff works if you have 2 league MVPs in their prime to execute what you envision. At least for a while.

It's just painful to watch this Bama team execute the scheme at times. We seem to get so frenetic with our pace that we just find ourselves reaching and slapping at everything. And extremely sloppy with the ball. We need a floor general and cold-blooded shooters like flowers need a spring shower for this small ball system.

For what it's worth, Georgia is loaded with great freshmen. They won't be the same inexperienced group next season. Tom Crean will take a big step up in year 3.

I am completely on board w this lineup. I just think the Rockets will have dropoff problems going to the second lineup

Watched Tom Creans post game presser, he echoed a lot of other peoples sentiments that he thinks Kira is the fastest guard in the country.

I thought it was interesting that Kira credited a one on one film session with Oats last week for his big game last night.

The #4 slot in the SEC standings is certainly within reach. No more blowing leads and it could be Bama's

That’s why he is in mock drafts. He just blows by people at times out there. Yesterday , he went free throw line extended to laying it up in a blink of an eye

Boy that Arkansas loss looms large now. Win that one and we probably have a NET in the mid 30’s range and the 4th best NET in the league.

Wednesday is a loss. So after Wednesday we will be 13-11 with 7 games left. I think we have to go 5-2 in those games and then 1 in the SECt to get in the big dance

We can go 4-4 over the last 8 and still have a good shot at the tournament. I think 19 wins is the mark we’d want to get to to feel good on selection Sunday and 2 wins in the SEC tournament this year is definitely not out of the question. Heck, winning the SEC tournament wouldn’t be a complete shock with how weak the top of the league is. There is 8 or 9 teams that could win it. Will be the most interesting SEC tournament in years.

I keep hearing the ACC is down, won't get many in the tournament. Do, that opens up for other leagues' teams.
Although I also heard that the big 10 and big 12 will get many teams in

NVM you said the big 10 will get many in, read it wrong thought you said wouldn't, but yeah the big 10 is projected to get 10 or 11 teams in.

ACC is very top heavy, looks like the big 10 is gonna take some of the bids the ACC normally get.

SEC should for sure get 5, most project us to get 6.

A lot can still happen, SEC is still wide open outside of the top three.

We currently have

Quad 1 win Vs Auburn.

Quad 2 wins vs Miss St., Richmond, Furman, Georgia

Still have three games on the schedule that would be quad 1 wins, @Auburn, LSU, @Miss St

Ones left that would be quad 2 wins are @Ole Miss @Mizzou. South Carolina could end up being a quad 2 win, they need to be in the top 75 in net and are currently 77.

This doesn't even take into account the SEC tournament where beating anyone of about 5 of the teams on a neutral floor would be a quad one win.

Conference play is barely half over, still a lot of time left.

It's not really a matter of what's left on the schedule. It's a matter of what we have left on the bench and what we have left in the tank of players on the floor.
It's about injury luck just like with our football team.

Getting Beetle back helped a lot, as I said earlier I think we lose that Georgia game without him, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 11 points was a good stat line considering he hasn’t been able to practice much lately.

Hopefully Herb really only misses two more games.

I assume the next two will be losses. I’d like to beat LSU but we don’t much up with them well at all. The last six are all winnable. 4–2 or 5-1 in the last six isn’t impossible.

I think there is still some unknown on the committee and how they will balance out the NET, records, conferences and good wins/losses.

We could realistically end the regular season 18-13 (10-8) with a NET around 40 and have the following breakout

Q1 : 1-9
Q2 : 5-1
Q3 : 5-3
Q4 : 7-0

Q1 : 1-9
Q2-4 : 17-4

I honestly have no idea how the committee would look at that. My gut tells me we'd need to get a solid win in Nashville and that might do the trick.

My gut also tells me we are going to go 17-14 (9-9) and it doesn't end up mattering.
