but I still think Oats has gotta find some transfers because the whole program needs new blood.
Even if Galin transfers that still only gives us one additional scholarship unless Kira or Petty decides that they are willing to risk contracting the coronavirus in order to fulfill their lifelong dreams of playing pro basketball in China.

I said we wouldn’t make the tournament. I’m right. It’s not hard
If they stayed healthy and we made the tournament, I guess I could cry like you that they stayed healthy and therefore my prediction didn’t count

Help Galin leave, admit that Hawkins was a mistake and not a high major player, and then really evaluate if we see Forbes being an actual contributor would be expert take haver Bryant’s thought process.

There’s still hope for Hawkins. Sometimes players just need a redshirt. Obi Toppin who is gonna be a top 10 pick in the draft and is one of the best players in the country redshirted his freshmen year.
I agree on Galin, he needs to go.
Forbes really needed a redshirt.

Ahh, early February traditions at Alabama:
National Signing Day is seen as a high holy day
The groundhog looks for his shadow
Bama basketball bursts its Bubble by folding like a cheap tent in a tornado.

Yeah I guess Hawkins was a miss huh? If he couldn’t get on the floor tonight he must be really bad.

I just can only hope that next year we’ll be saying “Last year we were blowing these double digit leads, but not this season!”

We looked really good vs Auburn and miss st, when we were only about 75% healthy. There are definitely positives to take away from this season and reasons to be excited for next year.
Add Rojas, Gary, Quinerly get Herb back, add Ambrose. I know I’m excited. I’m not being a sunshine pumper either. If we suck next year I’ll be right there with the most negative of you.

Why throw Hawkins out there now? To burn a year of eligibility on a lost season with 9 games left before the tourney? Thats the only shot we have left: win the SEC tourney. I think Nate decided early on that this would be a throwaway year and he’s keeping his powder dry for 2021.

I agree on Hawkins. Sucks for him because he seemed really thrilled to be here, but at this point I think it is pretty safe to assume he doesn't have what it takes to play at this level. If he did he would be getting minutes considering how depleted we are. Forbes I'd be willing to give another year and see how it goes. He hustles. I don't really understand why his shot isn't falling. But those dudes aren't even the issue. Galin is a terrible, useless basketball player but the fact that Petty and Kira always, ALWAYS shite the bed fricking hard when we need them to step it up the most is a much bigger issue than the fact that Galin makes Carl Engstrom look like the epitome of grace. Oats isn't running those guys off, and next year we are going to have to lean on both of them again. We can't go out and pick up 3 grad transfers unless a couple of them have 2 years of eligibility left. That would lead to some roster management nightmares down the road.

I don’t think Nate saw this as a throwaway season. A week and a half ago we still looked like we were in a good spot for a bid. I think if Nate thought Hawkins would help he’d be out there

I guess you could hope we land Primo and grad transfer and the bring in a really solid 2021 class. That class will determine whether Oats succeeds or fails here I’d think.

For those saying Hawkins can play at this level, tell me how many players we have had that really contributed after red shirting. If you can play, you can play.

It is all about recruiting. Oats has a chance if he can. He doesn't if he can't.
