I think the last part of the game, the team just started, for the lack of the technical term, playing around. Sort of knew they were playing a bad team.
I wouldn't look much past that. The team did perform in areas or should I say times, when important, like the beginning of the second half.

The coulda, shoulda, woulda’s.

Opening night v. Penn - Kira hits the FTs at the death. Lose by 1.

We don’t blow the late lead against Penn State. Lose by 2.

We don’t blow a 21 point lead at Florida. Lose in 2OT.

We are 4 points in regulation away from being 14-4 (5-1) and ranked in the Top 20.

Damn good job by Oats. Especially losing Quinerly, Rojas, and Gary before we took a bounce. This is a whole different animal with those guys.

We’ve now covered the spread in the last 12 games.

Wonder what the college basketball record is for that?

We probably can’t get away with another game like that for the rest of the year but last night it worked. Take a night off and still win by 15. Let’s hope they can refocus for the last 2 months of the season.

Alabama hangs on to earn the win at Vanderbilt. The 25 turnovers aren’t ideal, but any victory at Memorial Gym for the Tide is better than a loss. John Petty with another nice game as he has certainly found his groove in the up-tempo style of play.

We should beat Vandy by 40 at home.

Javian Davis has become a key part of the rotation this season for Alabama. Hope that’s not a serious injury.

I would love to see Jaylen Forbes hit three or four 3’s in a game, gain some confidence and then be able to give us a solid 10 minutes a game for the rest of the season.

He has struggled mightily for someone that was heralded as a sharpshooter. Makes me feel like it is more mental than anything else.

Herb had another all around performance.

10 points
5 rebounds
5 assists
2 blocks
1 steal

Having him and Petty back next year as the leaders of the team will be invaluable.

Last Year’s NET Rankings prior to the Tourney. Team’s with NETs in the 60s got at large bids.

On the flip side, Texas and Nebraska had top-50 NET but were left out. They were both batting .500 on the year which probably was the reason

Petty having a kid and turning into a nearly 50% 3pt shooter this season makes me think he may go, but I still haven't seen him in any 2020 mocks. I think he has probably been labeled a tweener. Not long enough to be what NBA teams want from a 3&D wing, but not a good enough ball handler and slasher to be a full time NBA 2 guard.

We have a recent history of guys leaving before they're ready. I'm hoping this is something Oats can change. Right now, I don't think we have anyone that is ready for the NBA, and I hope they will see that another year with good coaching can make a huge difference in their stock. I don't blame guys for wanting to get to the next level and get paid, but I really hope Oats can instill some of Saban's "good business decision" aspects to the basketball program.

Omg it’s beautiful.
