I’m sure it’s anecdotal but it seems like Kentucky usually plays well in Cal ejection games

To be fair, most of the experts have been heaping praise on this team. But, yeah, we're now better than our record, and have a real shot at the tourney if they stay on this pace.

Because this team isn’t like others. There’s been a consistency in hustle and development. One guy has a bad night there’s another to step up. Also, the backend of our schedule is weak. This is a good basketball team especially at home. Vanderbilt is terrible and they lost one of their best players. K State doesn’t score enough and plays terrible on the road. This team wins those games easy.

Our league is as balanced & tough as its ever been so we can't look ahead or overlook any opponent. I don't think Oates will allow that mindset.

Imagine if the NCAA wouldn’t have screwed us with Q. We damn sure needed that little bit of extra depth

I want to get to Baton Rouge at 12-7 and then see what we can do.

I'm just having fun watching these guys. Don't want to start thinking if/when tournament stuff.

Agreed. We are still clawing our way out of the early hole we dug for ourselves. They can't start feeling good about themselves and let up. Taking care of business today, albeit a little sloppily at times, was a big step. Oats has their attention and they play their asses off for him.

Hardest thing for any team in this conference is win on the road. Especially with an officiating crew like we saw today. It's not gonna be easy. Gotta take it one game at a time.

The next step is going to Nashville and controlling the game and winning.

I'm still 75% sure we'll lose because Vandy makes 27 3's

One thing about the SEC this year is some of the best teams are not exactly offensive juggernauts. Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, etc.

I know Auburn is averaging 80 a game, but boy that seems miraculous when you watch them lately. Assuming that continues to gradually drop.

Our games with LSU will be interesting.

They are a great scoring team but almost exclusively shoot 2s.

I think we have lost 7 of the last 11 games against Vandy in Nashville. Never easy to win there.

Not to mention other games that won't be gimmees : @ Ole Miss, Tennessee.

Yeah, I only see us winning 7 of those games you listed. Some of y’all need to temper your expectations. We’re not perfect, you guys.

It's not awful, but there aren't any elite teams, and I'm not sure there are more than 1-2 Top 20 teams.

A bunch of 8-12 seed level teams, though.
