Bama shot 21% from 3, had 15 turnovers, got outrebounded and only shot 7 more FTs than Auburn. Despite all that, Bama waxed that arse.

The headline from this game will be "Auburn lost" but I think the *story* is "Alabama turned a corner." Nate Oats told me before the season he thought Bama was an NCAA Tourney team,. It took a while to get going, but they have absolutely looked the part the last few games

The schedule has hurt us in multiple ways. It was too front loaded with decent teams which hurt our record and maybe lengthened the time it took us to get comfortable with the new system. Now we are fighting the perception that we’re a slightly above .500 team when in reality we’re much better than that.
If we go back and play that first 15 games again, i think 10-5 is the worst we do.
I also think Nate has slowed the tempo down just a notch to try and alleviate some if our depth issues, especially at the point. Without any relief, Kira simply cant continue the pace for 30+ games. Maybe he can, but you end up with the sloppy Kira that turns the ball over and cant hit his shot after halftime. I believe Nate is trying to conserve a little gas in the tank for the stretch run.
