Those baseline jumpers were so bad, so few players hit a positive efficiency rate with them. Having them all moved to the corner both opened up space at the rim and got rid of a junk shot.

The one midrange shot I think we will see a bit more of in the next few years is that elbow midrange shot specifically as an outlet for a drive and kick for the corner guy to pass to, as teams will rotate by that player to cover the 3 point line. Get a Bosh or Aldridge level shooter in the midrange there and it becomes value.

My confidence in winning this game has lessened with the last couple of days. Not because of our team but because everyone is picking us

I have never seen an ex-coach that bitter. Probably why it took him a few years before he landed a job at Siena. I noticed he got rid of his Twitter account before he was hired. Smart move. No one wants to hire the guy who is going to go scorched earth on you if you can him after he doesn’t deliver the results he promised you. He loathed and obsessed over Avery at an embarrassing level.

Didn't he tweet at recruits to not come to Bama? That's fricking sad.

Why are there so many people confident we win this game? If you are Bama fan of all sports you know the one sport that will always let you down is our basketball program. I do feel optimistic about this coach but I will give it another year or two before I even think about getting excited. I've been burned too many times

That is pretty crazy. Not a single dot between lane and 3-point line. Not a single one.

Man, all those baseline shots from 20 years ago are crazy. So many turnaround and pull up jumpers.

Alabama Crimson Tide (8-7, 1-2 SEC)

NET: 61 | KPI: 75 | SOR: 91 | BPI: 74 | KP: 53 | Sag: 47

Q1: 0-4 | Q2: 1-1 | Q3: 4-2 | Q4: 3-0

A crucial stretch awaits for Alabama. The Crimson Tide might only sit at 8-7 on the season but their metric rankings are relatively solid and they have been playing much better basketball as of late. It appears as though the roster has bought into what head coach Nate Oats and it is starting to excel offensively. Alabama plays at a frenetic pace and is extremely fun to watch. At a certain point, though, the Tide will need to win games in order to stay on the bubble. Alabama will play three of its next four games at home and it absolutely has to perform at a high level in those contests.

Being at home, hopefully we'll have the zebras in our hip pocket & make most of those freebies.

Coleman is going to be electric tonight. Maybe we win some big ones at home this year and they get started with the renovations. We need to keep Oats here.
