Truth stings. He has zero pocket awareness. Like he learned from milroe. Worst case of happy feet I’ve seen in a long time. Had so much quit in him. No reliability holding onto the ball and a fumble machine. Just an awkward, goofy, fumble prone quarterback. High school defenses could shut him down once they figured out take away the middle of the field. Zero touch on screens. Couldn’t hit a deep ball if the game depended on it. Everytime he audibled into a play it was guaranteed negative yards. Just awful.

If neither of our other QBs gave us a better chance to win than Ty in a wheel chair, then I have big concerns headed into next season if Ty goes to the draft.

I wouldn't be concerned about that. DeBoer clearly has some kind of aversion to benching his starting QB no matter what unless there's a major injury. That's a whole other issue, but I don't think it's an indictment over the backups.

Continuing to put him out there knowing all this is absolutely unacceptable from the staff. God help us if a broken down Ty is better than the backups.

It is almost like when Saban benched Hurts to win the natty the football gods will never let us bench another without him being seriously injured.

it's baffling that Deboer kept him on the field ... Especially if he knew all this. Terrible.

I'd love a Cecil Hurts column right about now.

I miss having a true journalist like Cecil covering the program. He was terrific. The only one who comes close to him now is Chris Low.

Think all of this is being strategically leaked to improve draft stock.
This … Ty has good representation, obviously.
I don’t see how he comes back to Alabama after this …

No wonder he fell off a cliff 1. Bursa Sac in elbow 2 Lower Back injury suffered vs South Carolina 3.Gastritis, due to Meds taken for Lower Back which caused him to lose weight 4. And then obviously Broken Ribs vs Indiana. No wonder his play fell off a cliff. Credit to him for trying to tough it out but if He had all that wrong with him DeBoer should have went to Mack for the betterment of the team

Some of us are old enough to have watched the 1977-79 teams.
In 1977 it seemed that come hell or high water, Bryant would run Steadman Shealy out there every third series, no matter what. Not just mop up time...any quarter, no matter the score. He played every game, and had almost as many rushing yards as Jeff Rutledge. In 1978, he actually out rushed Rutledge 323 yards to 95 (and 5.5 YPC). So in 1979, when we went undefeated and won a national championship, we did it with a QB who, although he had never previously started a game, was a seasoned veteran.
If DeBoer didn't have a back up ready to replace an injured Ty, that's 1,000% on him.

The problem is the coaching staff. It's their responsibility to correct issues we have. It's their responsibility to get players ready to play mentally and physically. Including back ups. Its their responsibility to bring in the correct players, its their responsibility to have the right players jn the right position. Everything falls on their shoulders.
100% of everyone here wanted Ty to succeed. I'm sure 100% of everyone wants Ty to succeed in life. Every time Ty threw did no one was pulling for him harder to succeed than me. But if he was hurt that bad, where it affected his play as badly as it did then he should have been out a long time ago. And it wouldn't have been his fault. Doesn't mean he is a bad player. Doesn't mean we are insulting him or Bama.
