I posted this in another thread but this deserves a discussion of its own.

Tua was inaccurate and messed up reads (or didn't read at all).

I know people attack you if you criticize him, but those are the facts.

He was missing WRs left and right.

BTW, in the play where he and Jeudy got into it Tua was at fault. Jeudy intelligently read the defense running zone and curled into a soft spot in that zone. Tua obviously didn't read the zone and threw the ball like Jeudy was suppose to continue his route but he wasn't against man coverage; there was an A&M player waiting for him to come across the field. Tua should have saw that and threw the ball to the soft spot Jeudy sat in.

Don't get caught up in the TDs, many of which were superior plays by our WRs. Don't get caught up with the score because we had superior field position and tremendous special teams plays.

Tua didn't have a great game and he needs to focus more and do better. If he does we can beat anybody.

Period.

He didn't play great, but he was extremely effective when he needed to be.

If this is his worst game of the season, then the rest of the country is in fricking trouble.

what concerns me is we will be facing much better D's then TAMU going forward. AU, LSU and then UF or UGA should we get that far. IF LSU beats Bama this year I don't see them losing a game

A&M's defense is pretty dam good. They only allowed 24 points to Clemson on the road.

We did whatever we wanted against A&M. I'm not sure how we are coming out of that game feeling concerned about anything offensively.

Just like AM the goal is to get to Tua. No one has found a way yet and he has torn them up. My guess is LSU will try hard and Auburn will.

This is the illusion.

The rest if the country will be in trouble if our starting position is always near or in our opponents side of the field and we score on special teams.

We seriously need him to do better. If he doesn't better teams will cause us issues.

A&M is a solid defense and they had two weeks to scheme. Plus it was on the road. Solid win and lots of things to work on. Perfect week for Saban.

This is false.

Balls were behind receivers all game long. Balls were thrown to wrong reads at times.

We have superior field position and should have at least put up 60. When your special teams is setting you up to start at the +40 every drive.... then they add a touchdown?

The expectations with this QB and those WRs should be different.

It's tough to make a living throwing in the red zone. Too much traffic. Tua is going to read the defense quick and the ball is gone. At times that makes for great completions in tight windows and at other times a DB might get a feel where the ball is going and jump the route. Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug.

To make a long story short, he wins those throws far more than he loses them. It was his first interception of the year and we need a thread to get to the bottom of this. And Tua just became the all-time TD passing QB in Alabama history. And he did it with only 21 starts under his belt.
A laser could take lessons from Tua's accuracy with the ball.

Yes he has a bad game by his standards. He still threw for 300 and 4 TDs in a 19pt conference road win against a ranked team.

Clemson only score 24 on them at home and Auburn only scored 28. We put up 47.

Tua will get it cleaned up. Him and Jeudy are just in a chemistry slump right now. The deep bombs have been a yard or 2 off the last few weeks.

A&M wasn't doing anything that fancy and their defense back was against the wall damn near every drive.

He just either didn't see zone or didn't read at all like last year.

So why all the balls behind receivers? Short throws? Etc?

I don't know why it's offensive to ask for better from the players. I'm sure Saban has pointed out every single one of these things knowing in the future we will go against better teams who have stringer offensive output and who won't allow us to start on their side of the field 6 times a game.

That has happened once this yr and that was the last game.

Not worried, feel bad that you are.

When you are great like tua, you are going to experiment on things live to see what works what doesnt.

? Is tua better than he was last yr when he beat LSU in death valley on a hurt leg. My answer to that is yes.

He will tighten up when he has to

Have you seen Clemson and Auburn this season?

Would you say either have had great QB play?

Would either of there offenses be considered anything near great.. heck good at the moment?

We scored 40 points on offense when our starting field position was averaged around the 40 or 50 yard line.

We started many drives in A&M's side of the field.

You can't just ignore this because had we not enjoyed such a special team performance we win but don't score 40.

Lol I'm not surprised.

When I pointed out flaws last year I got the same response. Then when the shite hit the fan all of a sudden everyone knew it all along.

Anyways, my hopes are Saban has addressed this and Tua sees these issues and gets better.

We will drub Tennessee and other sorry teams all the time. It is the bigger games where we need to see the same exact Tua we see in the smaller ones.

The fact some people don't like that I am pointing out facts is humorous. In the end we all love Tua and want him to succeed.

It wasn't a great game by Tua, but it was not like they were stopping us.

Not sure how you can jump to the conclusion if we had to drive the field that we wouldn't have had the same success.

I just think he has gotten better than last year, and he will continue to do so.

I understand your concerns, and I wish tua would hit some balls he misses on.

I think he will when it matters.

I haven't seen a QB like this for Bama in my lifetime, 47, so I am enjoying it.
