BREAKING: Travaris Robinson could possibly return to the Crimson Tide despite taking the Co-DC role for UGA.

Alabama & Coach DeBoer are making a "strong push" to retain coach Robinson.

From everything we're hearing tonight, Georgia will have to offer T-Rob the FULL DC position for him to stay in Athens.

I don't think that's going to happen, unless they want to lose Glenn Schuman.

No confirmation yet, but wow, Alabama is making an incredibly strong push.

You'd rather have TRob as DC than Schumann? Interesting. I think it's a mistake to make TRob a stand alone DC as he wasn't very good as one at USCe but he'll have more resources and a better supporting offense at Bama.

I’m good with Trob as a staff retention thing. I’d far rather have Schumann over all.

UGA mods are saying it’s more than likely happening. Supposedly asked Kirby for full DC and play calling abilities to stay. Kirby couldn’t agree.

T Rob also would make huge strides with getting Ryan Williams back in the fold. If I remember correctly he was a factor in his recruitment.

Shouldn’t hire a DC for one player but this is a unique situation. This doesn’t need to be a rebuild for DeBoer…keeping our team together and excelling in year 1 is huge going forward. You want the best DC available but he’s pretty good in his own right. It’s worth going all in on T Rob.

Also puts UGA in a tough spot. What do they do? Bring Muschamp back from an analyst only giving him one day to have spent more time with his family? Promote Schumann to full DC and let the football world see how good he is? Which could lead to him being hired away sooner?

Also, how sweet would it be to have DeBoer’s first “win” be against Georgia.

One of Nate’s smartest moves entering his transition to being the Bama bball coach was retaining Pettway.

Hate to compare the two situations but it has similarities. Keeping Roach and Gillespie is big as well.

Some posters on this board would owe me a big apology.

Kinda funny. Hope they show up in the TRob Named DC thread.

I would be excited about it. It’s wild that this is even a possibility at this point. I figured he was 100% gone.

IF he does stay DeBoer should make a run for Schumann with the same offer.

So maybe Boz knew what he was talking about when folks were shitting on him for saying TRob was still a possibility. Huh.

This. One thing that's weird is Schumann is tentatively co-dc again. Never been true DC. I'd be like wtf if I was Schumann now that muschamp taking an analyst role. Regardless of T Rob

Then would you owe DeBoer an apology?

Great great news.

Now will all the people insulting those who wanted T-Rob back and stated his importance apologize?

Lol no.

They will magically celebrate this as if they weren't ripping and trashing anyone who pointed out the importance of retaining T-Rob.

I'm glad Saban and Deboer are on the same page and hopefully we can secure T-Rob and get some stability back, then reign in some of these kids in the portal and get to a championship run next season!

So is Kirby dumb to you?

He has never made Schumman full DC and even at the chance quickly brought on T-Rob but to so many on here T-Rob is not even that great but Schumman is this wizard.

If Kirby were to take the DC title from his friend Schumman and give the entire title to T-Rob.... what does that tell you??

Tell me.
