Not a budget hire, and he loves Midwest. He's from the same coaching tree as Kehres, as many good coaches including the current super bowl champ.

Bryce would thrive in that scenario. Him hiring Deboer was placating folks.

What? Why is that the best the team can hope for? I know we're all feeling pretty bad right now but damn.

We have 3 games left this month and I hopeful we can win ULM and Wisc but even before last night I did not expect a win vs UGA. Not sure why 2-2 is being hopeful at this point.

here is no path to saving the recruiting class if DeBoer is fired. If he's fired this season we'll see the same thing that happened when Saban retired but on a larger scale. Mass exodus in the portal and decommitments by all but the most loyal recruits.

That is only an opinion. The right hire could not only save the class but may bring in others.

Out of those three golesh is the only choice imo. He is very interesting and I think we could do worse for sure..... Hell we may already have.

If make a run at lane and Lanning and sark honestly. Then Schumann. Then it's kinda a real roll of the dice but golesh does intrigue me for some reason

This boards infatuation with Jim Leonhard is fascinating. His pedigree as a Wisconsin DC landed him a job as an analyst at Illinois and a glorified safeties coach with the Broncos. What are we even talking about here. Jim Leonhard? Really?

Some on this board were seriously discussing Jimbo Fisher. A man who ran FSU and then lTexas A&M into the toilet after fleecing them raw. Talk about undisciplined teams. Some people here are just dumb.

Osu hire Ryan Day, now look at them. Saban spoiled folks.

I was talking about the losing record at the end of October part.

The only hires that could possibly make this true aren't coming here. What I haven't seen considered by everyone calling for DeBoer's head around here is the message firing him sends the college coaching community. No established coach is coming here knowing he's getting shite-canned if he's not successful in year 2.

Jimbo Fisher though? Get the eff out with that shite.
Seriously Deboer is not getting canned this year so it’s pointless to discuss.

So, let's say we go 2-2 into October. After what we saw yesterday what you think our record will be after October.

Depends on how we get to 2-2. If we blowout ULM and Wisconsin then drop a close one against Georgia I'll feel pretty good about October. If we struggle win the first 2 games and get blown out by Georgia then I could see the losing record.

Brent Key of Ga Tech. Dude is a passionate coach who demands toughness and discipline and coached under Saban.

Key has moved on from being a OL coach. He's a legit HC now and I'd take him over DeBoer right now. The guy demands toughness and doesn't tolerate laziness. Like our current coach does.
