Considering our offense has fallen off a cliff again, as is an annual occurrence at this point, maybe it's time to start running Keelon the same way we ran Jalen Milroe.

Almost all of our best plays the past 2 games were Keelon running the ball. Maybe time to just roll with it. We have a solid backup for insurance. Might as well go all out at this point. We can't afford to limit ourselves in the name of protecting the QB at this point.

Keelon still a legit passer, and he isn't built like milroe.

With a better OC KR has the ability

I don't understand why we haven't been utilizing his legs more. That's what Auburn did with Brown against UGA and it was magic.

More than anything we need to settle him down. A friend of mine who’s a former coach messaged me during the middle of last week’s game that the game seems to have gotten too fast for Keelon. And Grubb’s play calling isn’t helping.

Over the last 2 weeks he's averaged 167 passing yards per game, 1 TD, and 2 picks.

He's not exactly lighting it up against good defenses.
I think he's built a lot more solid than ppl think. He doesn't strike me as fragile at all.

He runs a damn 4.5 and I think it's time to feature that in our offense considering we're now averaging 13.5 ppg the last 2 weeks. We need a spark.

He can’t see past the rush (real or imagined) anymore.

Exactly. A QB that only runs 5-10 times per game isn't going to scare a defense.

However, when the QB run is a major part of your offense, it really opens a lot of things up.

Considering the environment and the injuries, the plan from the start should’ve been one read and then take off immediately if it isn’t there.

Insanity to have a QB with his mobility and consistently call slow developing pass plays with 6 step dropbacks.

It’s hindering! Best sack DL we’ve seen, and same old deep QB drops, and long WR patterns.
Let’s don’t dare to shorten the field for our rookie QB!

Certainly can no longer hold anyone back. It's a 5 game win streak or bust now.

Shite away our mulligans in 2 weeks.

Grubb has absolutely no idea how to design an offense around this kid.

He’s trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole by forcing him into what he wants done. It’s way too complicated and yes he’s scheming guys open 30 yards downfield.

That’s no good when Keelon is forced to move to avoid a rush…if he can avoid it. There’s no check down, damn little isolating a DB for something quick, not to mention our tackles just aren’t good enough to handle anything better than a decent DE.

And in game adjustments are a distant memory

When Keelon has a designed run which has been rarely the last few weeks.. he is not running with the needed urgency or power. He's holding back... something!!. Is it a mind thing with him ? Or is it a mind thing with us viewing on TV ? As far as Milroe the guy did have it in him to take off and look like a running back wanting to make a TD. Russell not on a designed run is very hesitant. The last two games especially this TN one he almost was like he was having mind games or just scared. Also his passing..inaccurate or holding the ball way to long and not taking off. There is something going on with Russell. This Bama team definitely needs a top tier Qb to win.. Not this uncertain pattern hes been developing. I used to feel we could score on any series with the ball in Russells hands.. not anymore

Grubb would never in a million years even consider changing what he does.
He is the epitome of set in his ways.

Ty Simpson is an elite talent, Bernard was a tremendous WR, RW will absolutely go in the 1st riund in this years Draft then throw in Brooks and Cuevas, and that would’ve been an offense that should’ve scored 24-31 points in every game they played in the all the way to Atlanta.

Ive coached several years at the D-2/D-AA level and still at a large HS, and in my 15 years of doing this, I have never seen an offensive “scheme/system” as porous as Grubb’s.

If my son was a top rated offensive player who had offers from everywhere, as much as it would devastate me, there’s just no way I could let him play for Alabama if I knew Grubb would be his OC for his entire career there.
It’s that pitiful imo

It's horrific.

This coaching staff is letting us all down, and it's really sad to see.

I think we could all live with the results at this point except that our team looks like a discombobulated pile of shite every single year with no offensive identity.

Maybe the detractors have always been right, and he needs to go coach in a less physical league. In 3 years to this point with 3 pretty good QBs in different ways, the offense has looked HORRIBLE, and every loss is due to our offense looking the way it looked today - clueless, lifeless, and utterly incompetent.
