Only shot anyone had against OU this year was a dominating pitching performance ( which few teams have) and scratch out enough to win. That lineup was too good with 4 First Team AA. Hell they brought in a pinch hitter last night with 14 HRs if I am not mistaken . They should come back to the field some next year. Saw someone put on Twitter addressing the question of whether people are questioning privately that OU is cheating somehow or do they know something nobody else in the country does

if OU can win 6 out of the last 15 then there is no reason why Bama can not be in that same discussion. One of you Murph suck ups can not cuss me out.

That's like another school saying "If Alabama can win xxxx of xxxx then we can" in football.

No, pretty sure Gasso is just better than everyone else. By a large margin.

I mean, roids maybe? I don't see how you could pull an Astros in a college softball stadium though and you can't exactly cork metal bats.

It's probably just the result of understanding launch angle and successfully coaching the players to adjust their swings to achieve optimal launch angles more often.

Oklahoma just added Michigan pitcher Alex Storako via the portal.

quote:

Storako is from Frankfort, IL, and played a big role for the Wolverines over the past four seasons.

The right-hander has been named an All-Big 10 First Team Selection the past two years, and was named the Big 10 Pitcher of the Year in 2021.

Last year, Storako led the Wolverines pitching 200 1/3 innings, where she struck out 300 batters and only surrendered 64 walks.

The rich get richer. I guess this is how college football fans feel when Bama lands guys like Gibbs and Burton

ASU freshman pitcher Mac Morgan entered the portal. Wish we would go after her. Led ASU in era and notched 18 wins as a freshman.

I mean she's only a sophomore so maybe. She'd only be second fiddle for a year and then if she shows out she takes over as top dog for her junior and senior years. I'm just saying with the dearth of pitching after Montana we've got to do something. Murph's dumb arse hasn't brought in an elite pitcher since Lexi and she gone.

This garbage of we can’t compete with Oklahoma is BS. Okie Lite is competing with them right in their own backyard and they are doing a very respectable job and made it to the WCWS again this year. If they can do it right under OU’s nose, we should be able to do it in Tuscaloosa. But resting on your laurels of the one season you caught lightning in a bottle and won a natty won’t cut it.

Be careful. Murphy is one of the girls. He can't coach for shite. Alabama has carried his arse. Fire him and move on!

Should have been gone after the terrible season when Covid saved his azz. Some are content to watch him sink this program because he won one Natty and built the program up.

Come on man. I don’t think anybody thinks we can’t or shouldn’t be competing with OU or anyone for that matter. They were loaded this year. Hats off to them . We will be back

Anyone else see a problem with this? This is the softball program in a microcosm. You see any other sport scheduling a game for the convenience of one player's family? Look, I love Montana to death and what she has meant for the softball program and she deserves all the accolades she gets, BUT, this is making one player bigger than the program and it's Murphy's whole damn problem and his whole coaching style all rolled into one. Montana and one or two other girls are Murph's "teacher's pets" so they get special treatment, like scheduling Marshall so the extended family can go see Montana play. That's total bullshite. You wanna know why players are hitting the portal after one season? There's your answer in a nutshell. Some players are treated different than others. Maybe Saban should have scheduled Hawaii all 4 years Tua was here so the Tagliavoa family wouldn't have had to move to Alabama. That is so bush league, but that is Murphy and always will be.
