Branham is usually really solid. Hope Trilly's sources are better.

The only other 2024 guys we are really still on are 4* Billy Richmond and 5* VJ Edgecombe. You could include Zoom Diallo I suppose, but I took him off the board on page one.

Maybe there is an outside chance with Richmond, but he's considered to be a pretty heavy UK lean so he's not likely at all imo unless something changes big time.

VJ Edgecombe is scheduled to OV with us next weekend for the LSU game - if we are able to get there without him committing somewhere. That would be an incredible environment for an OV. Maybe it's just my natural pessimism, but it's hard for me to see a guy like that choosing Alabama tbh. This guy can literally go anywhere he wants. Maybe this is tad bit hyperbolic, but us signing Edgecombe would be maybe the biggest recruiting surprise of my lifetime.

I think we are probably looking at a one man class of Sherrell and then attacking the portal after the season. Unless there is a potential reclass candidate in the 25 class that we don't know about.

Sherrell committed to us on 9/26, basically one month ago. Since then we've missed on Tyler Betsey and Jase RIchardson after feeling like we were in really good shape with both. We are also going to miss on Asa Newell after putting up a pretty good fight for him with his hometown team. Now it is sounding like we might miss on Derrion Reid in the eleventh hour after leading for him forever. What a brutal month if that happens.

Man I remember back when Sherrell committed Trilly or someone tweeted something along the lines of "And this is just the beginning..." that got my hopes for this class sky high. I really don't understand what happened.

Update per On3 Its not over on Reid Mac is a bit concerned but staff is still confident. There is thought Reid wants to play with Asa and we will have to convince him to play with Aiden since they are teammates at PP.
