Nah. That's totally the kind of thing that Jesus would say. Right after he'd call Mary Magdalene a filthy whore, made a nice profit healing some lephers, and laugh with his rich buddies about his easy it'll be to get into heaven.

You forgot calling people white washed tombs; blind fools; hypocrites, a brood of vipers, clearly referencing a group of people when saying, "Don't cast your pearls before swine", calling people a whoring nation, and an adulterous people.

Other than that, Jesus never called out sin and baseness.

We are told to judge other Christians, not unbelievers. That is God's territory, not ours. Jesus was the angriest at, and called out sin the most amongst, the Pharisees. Those who were supposed to be upholding God's word.

There's also that whole casting stones thing. Lots of people in church every Sunday in this country would be at the front of the line to stone a hooker though.

Truth.

“Christians” like LoveTheLord, and I use “Christians” loosely here rather than true disciples of Christ, love to shake their fist at the world and spew hateful words toward “sinners.” Jesus called those same “sinners” to himself, away from sin, but didn’t “call them out” (and never compared them to animals for those sinners). He generally only called out “vocal Religious leaders” that were leading people away from God and using God as a pretext to teach things completely against scripture, such as what LoveTheLord just did.

Is racism not ban worthy so we can get back to basketball on this board?

Even if we stay where we are with 11 players and have this main 8 main rotation with these backups, what are your expectations for the season?

Ill rank the 8 man rotation in which players I think get the most usage, jmo

1.Estrada
2.Nelson
3.Sears
4.Griffen
5.Pringle
6. Walters or Stevenson
7. Wrightsell
8. Stevenson or Walters

9. Dioubete - could see him moving up if he is healthy based on how good he is defense
10. Davin Cosby
11. Kris Parker

Sweet 16 caliber team imo. All 11 guys can play. The problem is we’re an injury at PG or C away from having a long season. I think thats the case for a lot of teams though, youre lucky to have one good pg these days.

I dont think adding either WV guy would change my expectations too much but would make me feel better from a depth perspective.

The New Orleans Pelicans are declining forward Herb Jones’ $1.8 million team option for the 2023-24 season, which clears way for Jones to be a restricted free agent and for the sides to work toward a long-term extension, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Herb about to land a life changing payday. Good for him.

I'm confused, why would they decline that option? Isn't he a starter there, and a very good player?

Apparently if they extend him this year it'll be for like $5 million less per year than if they did it next year.

And it makes a difference in him being a restricted free agent next year instead of unrestricted. This was the move to make if they want to make sure they keep him.

I love when you people argue about what your imaginary friend wants you to do.

Try not to be an ignorant a-hole. That's what real people need from you.

Now, back to basketball.

Agree with you for the most part on the 8 or 9 man rotation.

1) Nelson
2) Estrada
3) Sears
4) Griffen
5) Pringle
6) Wrightsell (I think he can be really good)
7) Mo (If Healthy)
8) Stevenson
9) Walters (He's Going To Surprise Ppl)

I'm a wait and see with Cosby (who I am high on) and Kris!

Just my opinion...

Yeah thats my main point is while we only have 11 players all 11 seem good enough to play to me so we’re still deep.

You never know about Freshman, even some good players struggle bad their first year, Forbes for example. I think some will surprise like Clowney did though. Im really high on Walters. I think most of our freshmen were ranked too low.

I would like to add one of not both of those WV guys for depth/experience. Toussaint especially is very experienced.

My only concern is that thanks to Walton being an idiot we're going to have an extremely young group of wings.

If this team show that they can defend at a high level then we could be really good.

Like Robot stated...our wings are going to be young but it'll boil down to one or more Freshman stepping up and being better than expected at that position.

I gotta see these Frshman do it before I just automatically say absolutes about them Joka.

JD was a cant miss who we were counting on and he was a massive disappointment. So I gotta see these guys do it.

I think we have at least 3 all Sec caliber players in Estrada, Sears, and Nelson.

Pringle and Griffen were good last year and should be even better this year.

We need a few out of Wrightsell, Walters, Stevenson, Dioubate, Parker, and Cosby to be good.

I dont have much doubt about Walters and Wrightsell being good this season.

JD had terrible pieces around him...got in the summer league and looked like a totally different player.

Coach Oats pretty much changed the entire roster after that season.

I'm not looking for a freshman to give me big numbers. Latrell Wrightsell will be an impact player for us because of his deep range. He's gotten better every season and I think he continues to do so here. Walters will be good...it's just a matter of when! I think Mo has the opportunity to be the best defender on the team as a freshman.

I think the bigger lane really helped JD's game.
