JD ain't gone care one bit if he has to come off the bench. I would love for him and Wilson to be in together though!

Technically this year was like a free year if I'm not mistaken

No disrespect to JQ, I love the guy to death, but he doesn’t have a chance in hell of getting drafted this season. He isn’t listed anywhere on any of the mocks. Have a big season next year, and pros will be an option. Right now? No.

It depends on if he can work out in front of people or not but I think next years draft class guard wise might be a tad weaker so I think its a coin flip because I could see him sneaking into the second round if he's able to workout in front of scouts or whatever.

I don't know about the not very big part. We should be able to match up with just about any line up with that roster.

You have 2 6'11 guys one 6-9 and a bunch between 6-6 and 6-8.

Quinerly Shackelford Davison and Burnett to go small.

And we are LOOOOONG and athletic. That can cover a lot of sins. We might still struggle with a beast like Diallo for the Buckeyes but those guys don’t grow on trees.

The team that lost to a team of guards and small forwards in the NCAAT?

This basketball fantasy is almost surreal at this point. I don't know what to do with my hands.

It’s amazing how quickly Oats has transformed this program into one of the best in America. That statement may seem a bit premature but the writing is on the wall.

Gotta keep winning in March to capitalize on the momentum. Kids want to play in this kind of system because it's the same one they see all over the NBA. Just have to keep makimg them feel like they'll get a legit shot at winning championships in March and recruiting will never be a problem.

As Surge suggested, I think Ellis may qualify for the COVID scholarship and may not count. With these numbers, Rojas might even qualify. Not gospel, but it may be a way for us to keep everyone.

I'm hopin' & prayin' that at least Ellis can be a non-counter for the '21-22 academic year. I posted about it on BOL, hoping someone with connections will try to find out. We'll see.

How could Ellis count as a senior last year though? He had 3 to play 2 coming in.

Ellis enrolled at UA on June 1, 2020. So he might be able to become an academic senior within the 2020-21 academic year and (depending on how the rule is worded) might then qualify to be a non-counter toward 2021-22's 13 scholarships limit. If the rule stipulates that non-counters are only the returning 2020-21 seniors who would've exhausted their eligibility without the NCAA granting an extra year, then he'll be a counter.

This is how I hoped it would go. Having Gurley solidifies the forward position with experience and gives us the best chance for next season.

Loving it.

Transfers: James Rojas & Darius Miles

My best guess at rotation...

PG: Davison/Quinerly
Wing: Shackelford/Burnett
Wing: Primo/Ellis/Holt
Wing: Gary/Gurley/Wilson
Big: Tchikou/Bediako/Ambrose-Hylton

This is how we are looking right now. Do I have anyone in the wrong place?

SENIORS
SG - Keon Ellis 4*
F - Noah Gurley 0*
F - James Rojas 3*

JUNIORS
PG - Jahvon Quinerly 5*
SG- Jaden Shackelford 4*
PF - Langston Wilson 4*

SOPHOMORES
PF - Keon Ambrose-Hylton 4*
SG - Nimari Burnett 5*
SF - Juwan Gary 4*
SF - Darius Miles 4*
SG - Joshua Primo 5*

FRESHMEN
C - Charles Bediako 4*
PG - JD Davison 5*
SF - Jusuan Holt 4*
PF - Alex Tchikou 4*

Technically, nobody is a senior. Because, and correct me if I'm wrong, but our seniors have 2 years of Eligibility left, juniors have 3, and sophomores have 4. Doesn't everyone that isn't a freshman get 6 to play 5?

Yep. Ellis and Gurley could both play two more seasons at Bama if they want.
