Despite the tempo stats, it does seem UConn is playing faster in some of these Tourney games (see Gonzaga/UConn game where Uconn took 72 shots). Even when they take the full clock, there’s so much more movement compared to ISO ball or pick’n’roll that it seems like it’s faster than the tempo stats suggest.
UConn’s pretty deep, and they’ve clearly leveraged that in several games this tourney.

Number 1 overall seed vs the hottest team in the dance...Bama vs UConn tonight would have been special. Still sick over it. I know we still had to win 2 more games btw. I just think if we hold on vs San Diego St we would have made it here.

All tournament long every single time a team puts a run together against UConn the Huskies always answer with a timely 3. Never fails.
