He was the best in the state and Mike Check said that.

Sherrell is already 6’11 215 as a Jr, I assume he would play center for us.

He is listed at 6'8" on the first page. Is that an old profile?

247’s height and weight for him must be a couple of years old. on3’s height and weight for him are correct. He is listed on his high school roster as 6’11 215.

Hopefully we get Donnie Freeman and Aiden Sherrell we seem to be in the lead for both and both are top 40 players.

Freeman 6’9 200
Sherrell 6’11 215

Four-star Aiden Sherrell hoping to fit more visits into his schedule

Class of 2024 four-star forward Aiden Sherrell has been a standout since this spring and could be in the discussion for five-star status when Rivals updates its rankings for the junior class in March.

The 6-foot-10 forward spoke with Rivals about the latest in his recruitment as his high school season winds down.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

USC: “I like that they produce guys that are similar to me like Evan Mobley, guys that are very versatile. Guys that can step out on the perimeter, put the ball on the floor, defend and also play inside.”

UNLV: “It’s a great recruitment, I’ve been building a great relationship with the coaches. The environment there is great, they play great defense and I love their defensive effort.”

Michigan State: “It’s my hometown, so it’s great to be recruited by them. I have a great relationship with the coaches, and it’s like a family environment there. I feel like I could be the missing piece for them.”

Alabama: “I also have a great relationship with them. Coach (Nate) Oats is a great coach and their playing style is great. I actually see myself playing in their play style, it’s fast, quick, and they’re a great team.”

Oklahoma: “I love their play style, also. They’ve been the newest school recruiting me, and I’ve gained a great relationship with them. I could definitely see myself playing in their play style.”

Michigan: “Coach Juwan Howard is a great coach, he definitely sees me being a big piece on their team, and I can also see that too. I love their play style and I feel like I could flourish in that system.”

Visits: “I’d like to visit the schools I haven’t been to yet — Michigan, Oklahoma and USC, those schools.”

Decision timeline: “I’m not sure on the timeframe, but it will definitely be after the school season ends.”

RIVALS' REACTION

I have Alabama with the edge in Sherrell's recruitment at this time, with Michigan and Michigan State behind the Crimson Tide. There’s been some rumors surrounding a possible reclassification for the 2024 four-star, but sources close to Sherrell tell Rivals that they expect him to stay in the junior class.

Getting Sherrell and Freeman in the fold would be awesome

2025 roster
PG - Bradley (JR)
SG - Griffen (JR)
SF - Walters (SO)
PF - Sherrell (FR)
C - Bediako (SR)

F - Dioubate (SO)
F - Freeman (FR)
G - Johnson? (SO)
Transfers/Pate?

Think technically Nimari could still be around but doesn't seem likely. Also think there's a chance Griffen blows up next year and is gone.

Keep stackin um up Nate

Sounds like Rivals may bump Sherrell up to a 5 star soon.

Saw this write up on our 2023 commit Mouhamed Dioubate and thought it was pretty good and worth posting.

quote:

Mouhamed Dioubate makes winning plays High School: Putnam (CT) On3 150: No. 80 It really is just as simple as that. The long-armed, quick-twitched Alabama commit seems to thrive in the situations where things get a little tough. The 50-50 balls, the offensive rebounds, guarding the ball, it’s the little things that not many people like doing. Mouhamed Dioubate is listed as 6-foot-7. He is an excellent offensive rebounder and has natural instincts in the passing lanes. He can guard the perimeter forward or the post forward positions and can even switch up or down a position in a pinch.

In a system at Alabama that enjoys getting up and down and having a lot of offensive possessions, the four-star is a connective piece that creates offensive opportunities.

Word is that RJ pled guilty (not sure to what specifically) and was given youthful offender status.

Came from a pretty solid source. Just reporting back after going to the area tournament because I mentioned doing so earlier in the thread.

I'd need to know more about the circumstances. If he got a blowjob from a 15 year old girl, and her parents found out and went to the cops that's not really something I'd consider a big deal. You can't put hormonal teenagers together in a social setting like high school and then turn around and criminalize consensual sexual conduct between some of them.

If there was some element of force/coercion involved or if we're talking about like a 12 year old or something then yeah frick him. Don't need that shite around a program that just went through what we have with Miles.
