Glad to admit I was wrong. Thought he'd go somewhere guaranteed to be a starter. No guarantee here.
He's got a lot of work to do to make up for how bad his freshman season was. I'd be pleasantly surprised if he is able to play his way onto draft boards next year. He may have taken the long view and recognized that he will be in the rotation next year but could be the man in 2022-2023.

We presumably will start 3 out and out guards, meaning 3 of these guys will not be starting (JD, JQ, Ellis, Primo, Shack, Burnett).
Stacked.
Stacked.

That would be ideal tbh.

Ok, guys. Since we may not be done (Gurley), who is going to start?
I'm not a fan of this question in basketball. The better question is, who finishes?

I mean once Rojas leaves I will literally have confidence in all 13 players. That’s never happened before. Usually I only have confidence in 4 or 5

That's even a tougher question.
We'll probably have a go-to small lineup, considering all the perimeter guys we have. And on some nights it will just be the hot hands.

Youd think its JD, Ellis, and Shack. But what happens if uber talented Primo takes the next step? Fuuuuuuuuuuck this is crazy

I’m so excited for the years to come!

Gary
Tchikou/Wilson/Bediako
Exactly what I'd guess as well with Tchikou getting the nod as our big if healthy (gives us that perimeter shooting that we'd lose with Gary in the game).
That would leave the second unit as JQ/Burnett/Primo/Wilson/Bediako as our second unit. And that's if we don't land Gurley. If we land Gurley I'll be curious to see who ends up out of the rotation. That's such incredible depth that I'm not sure I've seen before on any team.

I'm not too worried. But that's strictly based on Quin, and the difference between his season stats at Nova vs at Bama. I was nervous that he'd be a bust. But now he's playing like you'd expect from a Burger boy.
This was also a pretty screwed up year. So I can understand how kids would have a tough time transitioning.

Yeah I think so too. Ellis only has one year of eligibility left, and there's a really strong likelihood that Primo, JQ, and JD are all going to declare after next season. A backcourt of senior Shack and junior Burnett plus whatever freshmen we sign would be really, really good if Burnett's offense comes back.

Primo has shown how dangerous he can be. When he puts everything together and starts playing more consistently... Fuuuuuuck is what they'll be saying throughout the SEC.

Man the amount of dunks and alley opps we will see next season wil be incredible

JD
JQ
Primo
Gary
Gurley
On defense, Gary guards the 5 and on offense plays inside while Gurley is the stretch 5. Shack off the bench isn't a big deal, he'll get starter minutes regardless and this lineup gives us a lot of flexibility and length. We also have one non-shooter on the court in Gary but after a full offseason, I'm sure he'll be a decent perimeter player as well.

I need Alabama basketball and the SEC to play a 900 game summer league schedule because I’m craving to watch this team again.

This season doesn’t count so he has two left.

This lunch break may take all afternoon and half the night if that's the case.
