Not to be a little bitch abo it but Why are we @Mizzou? The last time we only played them once it was @Mizzou….so this time should have been at home

I mean Arkansas could say the same about us technically, so I don’t care.
Why do I want to beat them like a drum more than anyone else outside of Auburn?

Emoni Bates to Eastern Michigan.

I kinda feel bad for Bates at this point.

From some of the stuff I've read about his family situation, his father is kind of a LaVar Ball type and instead of pushing him to be a better player focused more on building his brand and putting him in situations where he'd be the focal point of the team without having to earn it. This move just seems to be in that same vein.

He's a talented player and I think Oats recruited him previously. But the situation with his dad sounds a lot like Shack. Supposedly he wanted to play PG.

His father is kind of a Lavar Ball type? Nah bro!
Lavar Ball looked out for his kids and he actually changed the game and people followed suit.
He knew his boys were going to be good and he built a BRAND from scratch for them. Lavar invested in his KIDS!
Emoni's dad doesn't have his own BRAND and that's the difference.

Bates' Dad is on a whole different level. I think he started an AAU team for him.

You cant really blame Shack's dad for wanting him to get to play the point. He isnt tall enough to play the 2 guard especially at the next level. But, the way we play he was basically getting point guard experience every time he touched the ball. Either shoot or dribble drive, take it to the rim or pass it off.

Wimp was on wjox a few days ago talking about defense. He said when we played against a team with a real good offensive player, we made a big point to try to guard them without the ball. Try to limit their touches by not letting them get the ball. Anthony Murray was the best I have ever seen at that.
They asked Wimp if his style of coaching would work now. He seemed pretty hard on the players. Wimp has said he couldn't be their buddy, and be their coach. But he said he asked Robert Horry one time if he though he had been to hard on them. Horry, told Wimp he wanted to leave, but his momma wouldn't let him.

Being a LaVar Ball fanboy is so on brand for you.

I don’t mind Lavar at all. His kids went #2, and #3 and are thriving. Liangelo committed a felony in China, and wouldn’t have made the league regardless. Despite that, their family brand has generated generational wealth and I can’t hate on that at all.
Lavar did his thing and now he’s fricked off letting his kids shine on their own merit. Only time we’ve seen him since was an AT&T commercial that I actually thought was pretty funny. These other dads have been clout chasing, trying to replicate that but their kids just don’t have it.

That whole ball family are clowns... Especially lavar, biggest attention whore ive ever seen... Said one of his sons were as good as Jordan , that was when i had enough. Their act wore thin really quick. Plus none of them knew what defense was.

Oats could find a way to hype a walk-on into an All American.
It's good to hear that we have a bunch of guys who can shoot it and the new faces are fitting in well though.
