Not sure why you were downvoted for this when UNC is the favorite if he doesn't go pro. They're a blueblood and have plenty of cash to throw around.

I don't get this either. There have been some overreactions just because the roster hasn't been wrapped up in a timely manner that some were hoping.

Alabama has had four transfer targets visit.

Sears - A top transfer recruit in the country, committed.

Llewellyn - Back up plan to Sears. Moved on after Sears commitment.

Bridges - Came down to us and Baylor, chose Baylor. Can't blame the guy and Baylor was desperate at the time for another Wing, rumors that it wasn't the best fit.

Lucas - Came to visit all the way from Oregon, so real interest. Probably didn't agree with playing time and role, bonus he gets to stay closer to home.

The only one that stings is Bridges. I'm not going to lose sleep over a backup Guard staying closer to home, people can make it about NIL but we're not losing someone to Nevada that we would really want, come on now.

It'll be interesting to see the final list of who is available after the draft process. Regardless, the staff is either keeping a really tight lid on who they're interested in or, after last season's issues, a bit more selective. Probably a bit of both.

Yeah we’ll be fine, we’re all a little starved for news and have nothing else to talk about. So it’s overdramatized takes until we actually have something tangible

I can't remember all the deadlines, but is there any sort of date that most agree is kind of the end of the transfer period? June 1st is the NBA Draft withdrawal deadline, right? And teams going overseas generally do that in July/August?

So you'd think that most rosters will be near finalized by sometime in mid June?

Am told Brooklyn also had in Nebraska's Bryce McGowens, Trace Jackson-Davis of Indiana, Alabama's Keon Ellis and Michael Foster from G League Ignite.

Keon will be a damn good 2nd rounder. Spot up shooter with NBA spacing and solid perimeter defender with plenty of room to improve. Role player in the league for a long time in the right situation

Hearing that the Kings have their first pre draft workout today in Sacramento. No media invite, but Jaden Shackelford (Alabama), Johnny Juzang (UCLA), Hyunjung Lee (Davidson), Tyler Burton (Richmond), Keion Brooks (Kentucky) and Justyn Mutts (Virginia Tech) are rolling through town.

Somebody on TI posted a google doc of the current status of all SEC hoops rosters. Only Arkansas has a full roster (over actually at 14). Most are sitting at 10 or 11 like us. Tennessee has only about 8. Several have players checking out the draft. I suspect most SEC and other teams are holding spots until near June 1 deadline because there are just so many players in the portal for teams to pick from.

Summer 1 classes begin May 31st so if I was coach, I’d want my full roster in place by then.

How the frick are they still able to be so active with recruiting the portal? Saban is the master of manipulating scholarship numbers, but since basketball rosters are scaled down so much compared to football I don't think those tactics would translate.
