The kid from Davidson probably fits this. And we need him now. Maybe tough though if he is more focused on the academic side of things. Because if it’s solely about basketball, we are by far the best option in his final three

Just in the past couple of years we've had a Yale transfer and a Harvard (baseball) transfer. I like our chances overall.

According to your speculation, maybe you’re more connected than I realize but I don’t think we’re offering half a million less than Nevada.

We obviously aren't offering half a million less than Nevada. That wasn't even implied, much less stated as a fact. But we obviously aren't offering significantly more than Nevada either, which is the actual issue.

I’m betting we are offering about $50k to these guys. Nevada was probably able to get in the same ballpark. Problem for us is all other P6 programs are offering $250k

Lucas preferred to stay on the West coast and we didn’t offer something that was impressive enough to get him to come. Kind of my worry with the Jones kid from Davidson. He probably prefers one of the academic schools, and I don’t know if we will offer enough to get him off that.

I guess I misunderstood his point when he said 500k vs 50k and the most recent target of ours went to Nevada. How silly of me

It's abundantly clear that he was speaking in general terms about the state of recruiting as it relates to NIL money and not specifically about Lucas signing with Nevada. You're either a moron or being purposefully argumentative. Maybe both.

I like how it's doom and gloom about nil and recruiting. Yet we are literally bringing in the best rated class in our basketball programs history.

Jesus Christ, relax. What college player would take half a million dollar paycut to play anywhere. Tell me one player that generalization wouldn’t apply to. Sorry your genius doesn’t consider our most recent target wouldn’t apply to that generalization. I’m the argumentative moron for assuming that… right

A few of yall are just pulling NIL numbers out of thin air and acting like they are correct. You have no idea and no reference point.

But you say someone is a moron for arguing with that bullshite? I bet you took the covid shot and all the boosters.

You know you've reached the bottom of the barrel when the insults are about vaccines. Let's stick to basketball talk and not ruin this thread.

Without Avery coaching Bama, this thread is already ruined.

It's not a vaccine insult. It's a having the critical thinking skills of an emotional little girl insult, with a vaccine analogy.
