I doubt the cooling off is on Reeves side. That’s a big jump in competition level, and Kentucky probably believes they have better options.

I dunno Kentucky's scholarship situation but if it's tight I'd guess the South Dakota State kid moved ahead of Reaves in the pecking order.

Will Moore: Atlanta Timberwolves – 2024
From the outside, the game comes so easily for the 6’5? shooting guard Will Moore. What truly caught my eye from Moore was his ability to do pretty much whatever he wanted, but still playing within the game. An incredibly athletic prospect that can jump out the gym with his 40? vertical is fun to watch with his well above the rim dunks. Moore is a great catch and shoot wing, that can also beat you off the dribble. Moore moves very well without the ball and is very good at finding the open teammate with his high basketball IQ. Moore’s offers flooded in following a 31-point game against a talented 1 Family 2023 team, hitting 6 3-pointers and finishing some nice dunks. Following the Sweet 16 Session II Live Period, Moore picked up D1 offers from Alabama, Ohio University, Tennessee Tech, and South Alabama.

He dropped 18/4/4 on almost 50% shooting. Not a career game but a good one.

Recruitment hitting another level for 2024 Sammie Yeanay (The Rock) #PhenomHoops
- Yeanay added a big offer from #Alabama this past weekend and he is earning more interest from several other schools as well.
quote:
The LIVE Period has come and gone over the last few weeks and offers are rolling out from college coaches around the country. What is great about this part of the year is seeing which players start seeing their recruitment taking the next step and hitting another level. One of those players that we over two years ago as a young prospect is now seeing his recruitment hit another level.
2024 Sammie Yeanay was a standout with Phenom Hoops years ago. When watching him operate, his skillset, his size, and his ability, it was easy to see that he would be a target for many. Though many still didn’t know about the young man at that time, we wrote this about Yeanay: Huge Upside and Potential: 2024 6’6 Sammie Yeanay
Fast forward to today, Yeanay has racked in a few big offers and added his first high-major offer to his list, along with several big interests as well. We spoke with Yeanay about all the latest, his year at The Rock School, and his recruitment. Here is what he had to say.
Phenom: How was this past season at The Rock for you and how did it help you develop your game?
Yeanay: Well, you know I was a mid-year transfer, so it was really me trying to build chemistry with my teammates and the coaching staff. At The Rock, we weight lift and train four times a week, so I really think that took a major part in my game.
Phenom: How has your game developed over the last year or two?
Yeanay: I got more comfortable being on the perimeter. (I’m still working on) my ballhandling, a better jump shot, and getting stronger. Really everything, never satisfied.
Phenom: Overall, how has your recruitment been going for you in your eyes?
Yeanay: It was always going, I just needed to showcase more of my talent.
(Currently holds offers from Alabama, North Florida, and Jacksonville State)
Phenom: Your latest offers was your biggest so far. What were your thoughts about the offer from Alabama and that program? How excited were you about that offer?
Yeanay: Because it was my biggest offer, it meant a lot to me. I’m thankful that Coach Pettway enjoyed watching me play and it is an honor for me to be considered to play for the University of Alabama.
Phenom: What do you know or is there anything that stands out about the program?
Yeanay: I know that they reached the Sweet 16 in 2021. This season, they made their fourth NCAA appearance in the last decade. And of course, some players like JD Davidson and Jahvon Quinerly.
Phenom: How strong have the other schools that have offered been with you?
Yeanay: Most of the schools are in constant contact with me and my family.
(Latest Interests: Florida, Florida State, Texas Tech, and Kansas)
Phenom: What have you heard from those schools that are showing interest?
Yeanay: They like the way I’m physical and I can score and play defense.
Phenom: Have you been able to visit any schools?
Yeanay: No sir, not at the moment.

We have a lot of interesting pieces but I don't think that should stop Bama from pursuing another guy that would be getting starter minutes.
Ball-Handlers:
Sears - Transferring from a smaller conference, should come in and start as the PG. Top-10(ish) transfer in the rankings.
Bradley - Freshman but highly ranked and has a good enough skillset where the growing pains shouldn't be too bad. Can play some off-ball but that's not his main strength, definitely wants to manage the offense.
Burnett - Coming off a season-ending knee injury. Didn't shoot well at Tech, need to see it before I believe practice reports. Mainly going to play off the ball but has some point skills, can also play spot minutes against some bigger guys because of his wingspan.
Quinerly - Total wild card and won't even be ready until at least the beginning of conference play. Basically impossible to project.
Wings:
Miller - Freshman but very talented and highly ranked. He's a Wing but can be a "Point Forward" at times as well. Should start but from scouting reports still needs to tighten up his skillset and put on weight.
Miles - For two years the main word to describe him has been "potential." It's now or never to make the next big jump. Oats seems to like him.
Griffen - Another Freshman but a very high ceiling guy. Can score at all three levels but he's going to have to put on a bit of weight. Will have to expand his game outside of scoring the ball as well.
Bigs
Bediako - Big expectations for next year, could jump into 1st round consideration. All-SEC potential if he adds more weight, cuts down on fouling, and works on his post-moves.
Gurley - Kind of a stretch 5 for us but will mainly play the 4. Didn't quite meet expectations but an additional year could go a long way. Defense needs to improve and 3% should go back up, solid role player.
Pringle - JUCO guy after 1 year at Wofford where he averaged 6 MPG in 15 games. I guess this isn't a popular opinion but my expectations are relatively low for his first year at a big program.
Clowney - Our last freshman. Big guy with some range but definitely needs to add some weight so he can rebound and play defense at the next level.
This was a longer post than I wanted but after breaking it down, and wasn't trying to be too pessimistic, we could definitely afford another starter, someone with shooting ability looks like a must at this point.
Starters: Sears, Burnett, ???, Miller, and Bediako.
Bench but minutes: Bradley, Miles, Gurley, Pringle (?)
End of Bench: Griffen, Clowney, JQ (health dependent)

Check out the stats on this transfer from Arkansas State to Miami.
Arkansas State forward Norchad Omier has announced he will be transferring to Miami, via The Field of 68.
He averaged 17.9 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game last season. Arkansas State forward Norchad Omier has announced he will be transferring to Miami, via The Field of 68. He averaged 17.9 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game last season. :

Good post.
I completely agree that adding one 3pt threat guard/wing player to play around 25 minutes, start or not, takes this team to the next level. Minutes can possibly fit but it really brings the number of players in the rotation to 10 when JQ gets back, which is a lot.
The only thing I'm not sure about is whether Griffin is expected and expecting to play more than "end of the bench." He's certainly the odd man out from the get-go if we bring in a 3pt shooting transfer.

I imagine Pringle will play 10-15 minutes where at least one of Bediako, Gurley or Pringle will always be on the court and sometimes Bediako or Pringle + Gurley for matchups.

Miami got Pack too, the transfer from K-State. They’ve got some alum that’s just handing out huge NIL deals.

With the money that lawyer is throwing around you would’ve thought they would be able to buy a top 5 team. That’s some big time contracts

Can we not at least find some mid-major kid who can hit 3 pointers in his sleep? If his other skills are marginal, but he can drain it consistently, bring him in as a scoring specialist. Ever since Nate got here, we seem to be missing that guy we can count on to nail a big 3 when needed. Yet, those guys seem to grow on trees for the Northern Iowas of the world. We need to grab one of those guys just to fill a certain role.
