With this amount of significant leg injuries, Oats needs to reevaluate the S&C program. Something is obviously wrong in the approach.

Agreed. This is like our 4th or 5th offseason ACL, Tchikou had the Achilles, and Bruner's knee was fricked most of last season.

Not meaning to start an argument, but how do you enforce vaccination proof for 12 year olds? I don't know a 12 year old that has an ID. This is one of those sounds good in theory, but how do you implement that?

Right but how do you know that vaccine card is truly that 12 year old?

Yeah seems like it’s gotten to be too many to just be a coincidence. Some changes need to be made

Mark Few popped for a DUI. Hopefully Jaden Bradley's parents cancel that Gonzaga trip.

SI stating the obvious, but still disconcerting to think about - season hasn’t started and we’re already down two players

Alabama Basketball Forward Nimari Burnett Suffers Knee Injury

quote:

Should Burnett require surgery, the Crimson Tide will be down to just 11 players due to he and Rojas' absence. With Alabama basketball quickly approaching a season that contains one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country, an injury to another key piece on the team's roster is the last thing Crimson Tide fans wanted to hear.

He needs to do some serious consulting with Rhea and his group. This is quite alarming.

Ven-Allen Lubin, 2022 4-star, discusses top list of schools

Ven-Allen Lubin, a 6-foot-8 power forward out of Orlando (Fla.) Orlando Christian Prep recently announced a final list of schools – Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, Alabama, Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech.

Lubin has not been on a college campus yet, but he has scheduled three official visits. He will see Virginia Tech first on Sept. 10, followed by Clemson on Oct. 2nd, and lastly Notre Dame on Oct. 9.

Lubin says he would like to make a decision by early to mid-November.

He discussed each school with On3.

Florida caught Lubin’s eye

“They really caught my eye,” Lubin said. “I had a Zoom meeting with them, a Zoom visit and it was pretty cool. I like the way they presented the school. Out of all the schools in Florida, I felt like this was the one I was really invested in.”

Relationship with Auburn’s Bruce Pearl

“I’ve heard a lot of great things about their school,” Lubin said. “Bruce Pearl is a good coach, but also a good person. I have a really good relationship with him. They all seem like really good people. I look forward to knowing more about the school.”

Notre Dame stood out to Lubin

“The way they introduced themselves to me stood out,” Lubin said. “It was different than other schools. They really respected me. Despite them coming in late, they really tried to connect with me. I wanted to give them a shot because I don’t know much about their school but I want to know more about them.”

Alabama’s success peaked Lubin’s interest

“They really stood out to me,” Lubin said. “Especially when they finished first in their conference. I was like ‘hey if I was there then I would like to do that again.’ Because the way they play together…they play hard and to work your way up like that, it just showed they were determined and really dedicated.”

Clemson similar to Lubin’s high school

“They’re kind of like a smaller school,” Lubin said. “Their environment would fit me because I go to a private Christian school, Orlando Christian Prep. Their environment is kind of similar to that. I would be able to quickly adapt. I also like the way they play and their coaching style. Those two really blend in well so they can achieve so much.”

Academics a big part of Virginia Tech

“They have really good academics,” Lubin said. “They could really benefit me, inside or outside of sports. Academics are a huge part of them, and they have a good basketball program as well. It’s really another school I want to see for myself to see if they’re a good fit for me.”

Georgia Tech’s success caught Lubin’s eye

“Their coach (Josh Pastner) is determined,” Lubin said. “Especially when I saw they won the ACC championship. That shows that they have a really good basketball program. They develop their players and improve them. They also have good academics.”
