Both of those are actually great fits. I really love the idea of Primo to Denver.

I had forgotten how big of a role Shack had in us winning the SEC Championship game last year. He had 21 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, made some good passes and some good plays on defense. If he can play like that most of the year this year then watch out.

Shack SECC game highlights

Yep - had a great game. Had a great game against Maryland, too.

Not as great against UCLA

True, I thought our whole team played like crap that game, outside of Quinerly, especially on defense.

Quinerly wasn't even too great that game, year he scored 20 points but it was on 22 shots. Petty scored 16 points but went 5 out of 15 on FGs.

We went 11 out of 25 on free throws, that's horrible.

The big 10 is so overrated every year. No way Illinois and Michigan should be in the top 5 after how bad the big10 did in the NCAAT last year.

Kentucky and Alabama should be in the top 10. Leaving Kentucky and Arkansas out of the top 15 is pretty insulting.

I do agree with people that have Kansas in the top 5, they return about everyone and add Remy Matin who is one of the best PGs in CBB, their problem last year was they didnt have a PG. We may have to play Kansas in the 3rd game of the year if we win our first two, gonna be interesting, should be a great matchup.

I'm really trying to block that game from my memory. Obviously, credit to UCLA but it took 11/25 from free throws to win along with all of our big-time players basically not being able to hit a shot.

I'm surprised Torvik has Arkansas so low. Most preseason polls have them in the top 12 or so. To not have them in the top 25 at all seems like a very bold prediction.

Our mid major schedule is absurdly tough. If we lose to any of them, they better kick arse when they get to their conference schedule. Because while they look good now, they could end up biting us in the arse.

It's a computer algorithm, so not much to be insulted by. Torvik's numbers think that Kentucky improves drastically on offense (#12) but falls off drastically on defense (#50) (which, if you look at their transfer ads, is definitely a possibility). They see Arkansas as struggling some offensively (#45). I think it's obviously pretty difficult to train your computer algorithm to assess how a guy who was the #1 option at a small school will add as the #3 option at a big, Top 25 level program.

But yea, the Big Ten has found a way to totally trick all computers all the time.

If it’s Torvik, it’s really more of a projection than a prediction. It’s not like he’s ranking the teams based on his opinion. I’m assuming he’s using returning production, signees and transfers, and some of last years data to put together his preseason “rankings”. It’s likely to look significantly different two weeks into the season or whenever he stops using prior year’s data.

People complain about 4 SEC teams being ranked inside the top 10 in football every year but we back it up with results. The big10 does not back up their rankings in basketball with results, no big 10 team has won a Basketball NC in over 20 years. It's Mind boggling how they keep having 2 or 3 teams ranked in the top 5 all season every year.

Yeah.

It's going to be a lot of fun if and when we are winning these games, but if we end up losing a majority of them - close or not - this thread will end up getting volatile again.
