I see him as a starter getting 25+ minutes a game

I predict the first game starting lineup will be
Quinerly
Davison
Shack
Ellis
Gurley
Burnett the 6th man.

I personally think our 6th man, that plays starter minutes, will either be JD or Shack, but both will be on the court to finish games.
Anyway you slice it though, I think the top 9 ends up being:
Guards/Wings: JQ, Shack, JD, Ellis, Burnett
Bigs: Gurley, Tchikou, Bediako, Gary
I think that sadly Darius Miles might be the one that takes the biggest loss in minutes with this news.

I'm not sure we can run that 1-3 group out together defensively.
But either way a lot of toys to mix and match with for sure.

I think this is the best line-up and looks similar to what we rolled out last year skillset-wise, sans Gurley playing point forward like Herb did.
Even though I know we never take all of our 1st team guys out at one time, so it's just for fun, but a 2nd team of:
JD
Burnett
Miles
Gary
Bediako
...is pretty unbelievable to think about as an Alabama fan. I think in most years we would be pretty ecstatic to have that running out as our first team.

very curious myself. i assume shack will up his efficiency from all the attention jd and jq will demand. my main question is how the D will be. if we can keep our D in the top 30 or so with jq/jd/shack lineups then i could see shack still playing around 26-30 minutes.
if not then he should still be a relevant piece and a guy to get a bucket when you really need one.
id say we now have around 9 or 10 guys who could all finish games for us. so much depth and talent, really cant wait to see what oats does with it.

Losing Herb and Petty, defense from our guards is probably gonna take a step back. Ellis and Burnett are the only two guard we have who I would consider being good at defense right now and I don't see Burnett starting game 1 over JD or Shack.
Gurley is a really good defender, a lineup with Ellis, Burnett, Gurley, Bediako could be elite definisively, but again I dont see any freshman other tha JD starting game 1. Gary is good defensively too.
We will have a lot of lineup flexibility which is great.
