If y'all are gonna start cornholing, take it over to the soccer board, where it belongs.

Apparently rocket watts from Michigan state is probably heading to Mississippi state according to Jeff Goodman. That’s a MASSIVE pickup, makes MSU probably a guaranteed Tourney team, and just makes the SEC gauntlet continue to become an absolute murders row. And to be honest I LOVE it. More good games to watch and more of a continued better perception for the league.

We were recruiting both.

Two 6-foot-9 Florida twins ranked among the top 15 high school juniors in the country -- Matt and Ryan Bewley -- are signing two-year deals with the Overtime Elite professional league, sources told ESPN, marking the first prep underclassmen to sign contracts with an American professional basketball league.
Matt, who is ranked No. 3 by ESPN for the Class of 2023, and Ryan, ranked No. 12, will forgo high school and college eligibility to join the start-up league in September for contracts that are expected to pay them each seven figures over the two-year range of the deals, sources said.

Seems like the pro route is expected.

At what point should recruiting sites ignore these guys that are obviously going pro? If they don't want to play college ball, then why should we pay any attention to them?
Let the guys that want to go to college get those spots in the rankings and let these clowns go train for the NBA in the "Who Cares?" league.

Scoot Henderson signed a 1 million dollar G league deal.
I am glad he is not going to Auburn! Didn't want to have to deal with him, he is good.

That’s an insane deal

Keep in mind newest G League signee Scoota Henderson won't be draft-eligible until 2023, when he turns 19. The NBA opting to take prospects a year early opens the door for a shift in the whole prep-to-pro dynamic. Impacts college programs and the fledgling Overtime league.
quote:
The other key piece of the G League's decision to court Henderson is that this clearly opens the door for Emoni Bates, who is also 2023-eligible, to join the G League a year early, if that's what he wants to do.
quote:
Scoot Henderson turned 17 in February, and G League stipulates players need to turn 18 in the calendar year to be eligible to join the league — so keep in mind that there are rules being bent along the way to make this possible.

It' a two year deal it sounds like, so 500,000 a year, which is around what Jalen Green got.
Posted on 5/21/21 at 3:24 pm to CrimsonFever
Yep, looks like 500k is their cap per year for a player.

for what its worth im still out for blood on the clowns that downvoted my kessler post without saying anything. this is war.
as for state probably getting rocket, that is interesting though too much of a wildcard for me to say it makes up for losing stewart. i still think theyre a for sure tourney team but no longer up their with the top level of the sec.

Update: The latest projection from ESPN analyst @DraftExpress has Primo staying in and going to Chicago at No. 40 (2nd round) with Herbert Jones going later in the 2nd to Charlotte
Primo would be an excellent fit with Chicago if that happened. But if Primo is expected to go in the 2nd, he'd be wise to stay in school another year.

If his circle still encourages him to go with a 2nd round grade, he needs to reassess his circle and bring in folks that know things about guaranteed money.
