Someone in here asked me why I think UK will finish top 4 in the conference, them being down last year isn’t gonna last long and was an anomaly. They will be back this year,

Yep - they got a good roster mixed with experience and young talent that is well rounded and deep.

The league is going to be absolutely nuts.

We're probably going to have 8 really good teams, a couple of bubble teams, a couple of bad teams, and UGA. It's going to be brutal. I think 13-5/14-4 will probably win it.

We have the best coach in the league, I'm not worried.

i still dont know. i could see them with wheeler and tyty getting in the top 4 now, but still wouldnt call it a sure thing. cal did add more shooters and a true floor general but their overall talent level isnt really what id call superior to what we expect the top 8 teams or so to be. i also consider cal to be one of the most overrated coaches in basketball. without 5 for sure first rounders he could fudge it up still.

I could be wrong but I dont think Primo will be a first round pick if he comes out, I think he would go 30-45 somewhere.

ha hey, atleast youre on board with thinking he could get drafted at all now. your boy primos got wicked potential. still hope he stays ofcourse, but either way we have the talent and coaching to be a contender. book it.

If Barnes stays true to form, he will continue to underachieve in Knoxville. Tennessee will be good enough to beat anyone on a given night but won’t be consistent enough to win the league.

I had Primo as a potential loss. It's one reason I was hoping to add Myreon Jones. Not quite as tall but would have been another outside threat.

Do we have an idea of who all is still in the portal who fits the bill of a wing who can handle the ball and shoot? Or potentially a last minute reclassification candidate from the 2022 class?

I'd like to know myself at this point. Myreon was my choice and others I would have wanted have already moved to other schools. Wish Primo would come back. I think he has more to offer than Shack moving forward.

The new transfer rule is gonna put coaches in a TOUGH position. I know for a fact Jones was 100% ours if we wanted him but Oats turned him away because we didn’t have room. I bet if Oats knew Primo was leaving he would have taken Jones

Lunardi did a 2022 bracket, has us as a 2 seed.

He has 7 SEC teams getting in.

Alabama - 2 seed
Arkansas - 3 seed
Kentucky - 4 seed
Tennessee - 4 seed
Auburn - 7 seed
LSU - 9 seed
Florida - 10 seed

I think those 7 and State are pretty safe bets.

Ole Miss could be a 9th team

Can someone explain this? I know spcing is creating space for offense. also for offense, gravity is drawing in defenders. Do the numbers above say that Quinerly was our best player?

Depends on how you define "best player", I guess. But these numbers seem to indicate that JQ was our best player at these two metrics and we know that they are super useful for the offensive system we run.

No, but they do say that Quinerly was by far the most effective player on our team at pulling defenders out to the perimeter and forcing help defense around the rim.
