Herb had much better physical tools. I've never seen a guy Mod's size not dunk a single time in 36 games. He has great effort, but he's not terribly athletic.

heres an example of mo getting a sick board then going straight up for an easy dunk.

wrong again, im very willing to see the wisdom that can come from a guy who's watched the game for that long, unless ofcourse your talent for watching is lacking in potential

I have seen Mo dunk quite a few times.

Love Mo. He's not even close to the level of Herb.

He's actually far better than Herb was as a sophomore. Herb was very much a project still as a sophomore. People seem to romanticize Herb's career a little bit. Herb became a force the 2nd half of his junior, but his first few years in Tuscaloosa he had the touch of an elephant and would consistently launch layups off the backboard that didn't touch rim and miss bunnies. He wasnt a reliable ball handler until his senior year. He was solid defender but became elite his last few years.

I love Herb for the work he put in to become a force, but there were plenty of people calling for him to be benched a lot during his first 3 years

Troll accounts are the dumbest shite. Who the hell has time to post misinformation just to say “gotcha” on the internet.

I wish these assholes had one single important or meaningful reason for living so they’d see what a stupid arse waste of time they are.

Mo is never going to be Herb. I said before they ever played a game that Herb would end up being a better player than Petty who was the much higher ranked recruit. Again, I like Mo, and he can help the team, but he's pretty close to his ceiling already - plays tough, gets rebounds, pretty good defender. That's what he will still be when he's playing overseas.

Once again, I didn't say that he would be. I said Herb was a full blown project his first few years in Tuscaloosa and that as sophomores Mo is far more physical, has far better touch and has a better handle. Herb's best characteristic his first few years in Tuscaloosa was he had great length to cover multiple positions and he played hard. Herb developed into a very good multi faceted player.

I see Mo as much more like a Draymond Green type than Herb anyway. I was just responding to a post stating that Mo is nowhere near the level of Herb. As sophomores being the measuring stick for where Mo currently is, he is far better than Herb was at that time in his career.

Maybe he had been injured, or wasn't confident to dunk in traffic. But even on a few fast breaks this year he didn’t dunk it. I started to make mental notes of everytime he went for a layup when he should have dunked it.

Mo still has an offensive package that he could tap in to and with the right defensive coaching...he could be even BETTER defensively.

I'm just sitting here imagining a lineup with...

Aden Holloway
Latrell Wrightsell Jr.
Mo Dioubate
Corey Chest
Aiden Sherrell/Noah Williamson

We could have two bullies as rebounders and two top tier defenders.

Whew. I really hope that's not our starting lineup.

He's correct. Sounds like he's coming back. Word is that the staff is very excited. I'm..... not. However, I trust CNO and staff. They likely got him fairly cheap. And remember... there are 15 scholarships for next yr instead of 13. Doesn't mean we'll have 15, but at least we're not limited by taking him.

Why not?

Aden Holloway & Latrell Wrightsell Jr. are elite shooters.

Mo Dioubate could be used as a point forward but he also has an improved three point shot. Defensive Stopper

Corey Chest would be the put back king. Defensive Stopper

Aiden Sherrell & Noah Williamson will be 30 percent from three.

So tell me where's the weakness in this lineup...

You not gone out rebound them and you won't be able to bully them in the paint. This lineup will be able to defend anybody!
