Has oats done good job building rosters since she been at Alabama?
He has hit a lot of home runs in previous portal seasons. But him having to hit home runs this portal season is definitely necessary in order to maintain success considering all that we're losing. Our entire starting 5 is likely gone and if that's the case we only have one returner that can reliably be counted on as a source of offense coming back. Having said that, his track record in the portal is VERY good.

Cosby to Kennesaw State. Love it.

Probably just looked at the comments under Tipton's tweet, because those were the only 2 I could tell he interested in from the comments. Unless he's an established insider, I wouldn't think twice about it.

Looks like Stevenson might enter the portal. After coming to Bama, he deleted over 20 IG posts for the first time.

So I said this yesterday, but portal news should not be allowed during april fools day pranks.
Is there any interest on Bama's part that Sam Walters is back in the portal?

Thank Jarin for all his contributions and wish him success in future endeavors. However I’ll be so happy to see him enter the portal. Softest player we’ve had since Engstrom.

Honestly, probably for best. I am.sure he expected to be in the NBA by now. He needs a change of scenery for his own noggin. Went from a starter, to barely playing some games. I like the kid, his has a great skill set, but just couldn't seem to get it together. Dunno if he just couldn't apply the coaching, but seemed like his fundamentals weren't great. His feet always got away from him, and it sapped his explosiveness. So many missed layup where he should have had a dunk.
I assume he will try to go to UNC, and they are desperate for bigs.

We don’t even know if he’s leaving. This is all based off of a message board poster who routinely bashed the kid and I guess memorized his Instagram and noticed he deleted posts????
Call me crazy, but I’d rather keep the player who has been a contributor to a final 4, elite 8, and is entering what should be his true sophomore season.

You're crazy.

I'm saying from his perspective, it might be best for him. Of course we want to keep a kid like him around, and if he stays thats wonderful. I've never been as hard on him as a lot of our fans are. I recognize his flaws, but they're all fixable. But his shooting is more of mental thing at this point, because his form is nearly perfect. Which is why I think a change of scenery might benefit him. Especially if he goes to the ACC where the refs don't let teams play fricking rugby.
different note
Wonder if we reach out to Cam Heide, that athletic wing from Purdue. His entire family recently moved to Alabama, and he fits the system.

I think it’d be better to play better competition in an nba system than go get coached by Hubert Davis. He’s one year away from being fired.
At least 4 and probably 5 of our starters are leaving. I’d love to have a bit of continuity going into next year.

He archived them, grandpa.

I hope he stays. He hasn't turned into a superstar yet, but he has the potential, and he's been pretty solid for us thus far. I'd rather have him than most of the options that are going to be transferring from small schools. Most of those guys have a much lower ceiling than Jarin.

Since arriving in Bama, he had never deleted a single IG post. But today, he deleted as many as 20 posts, including those related to uniform revenue. If he intended to keep playing for Bama, there would be no reason for him to delete them.

The fact that you know this makes your Jarin hate even weirder.

I don’t hate Stevenson at all. You can check my past posts. A year ago, I said Stevenson had more potential than Mo and that he might even become the best player on the team by the time he's a senior. I still stand by that.

Hearing things are heating up with Rylan coming back home.
Posted on 4/2/25 at 5:16 pm to BigFolks6347
I'd take Rylen over Walters if given a choice. But neither is a great defender at this point. Rylen has gotten worse on the defensive end every year. But he's a decently athletic, taller guard. We need those desperately.
