The schedule prepared them that year, and they were coached by gottfried... Let that sink in. They got where they got because of pettway's leadership and the guards getting hot. This team can beat anyone and has proven it, just need to forget everything and remember theyre in a new season

First time watching. Arizona’s big men would do unspeakable things to us

2004 was a crazy team... Alot like this one, lost 5 straight games at one point ... Then wound up in elite 8, u just never know

And nearly lost in the first round of the tourney. Pettway hit a buzzer beater to get past Southern Illinois.

Man, I hope we can get our shite together for the tournament. I’ve never seen a team like this.
might be the most frustrating team I’ve ever seen. They’ve shown they have the ability to beat absolutely anyone in the country, yet for some reason can’t lock in. Just makes no sense to me.

Wonder if they'd match up Alabama-UAB in the first round.

Just ran the bracket with Torvik again tweaked with the inputs and this is what popped out (with some tweaks to avoid 1st/2nd round conference/repeat matchups)

#2 - Tennessee
#2 - Auburn
#3 - Kentucky
#4 - Arkansas
#6 - LSU
#7 - Alabama
#11 - Texas A&M

I think it's certainly possible. Just depends what they decide to lean on more metrics wise.

Definitely going to be a 6 or 7. Not sure there is a huge difference either way, honestly.

There's always a team or two that gets wildly seeded either way high or way low.
I could see Alabama being that team this year. Either way.

LOL what draw would even make you happy? Is there a "good draw" for us?

They have stretches where they look like the best team in the country, and stretches where they look like a middle school team. And I mean that quite literally. Some of the turnovers are baffling.

If they somehow hold on to the ball and don't give away 15 points via turnover we have a chance to win a couple games.

If we turn it over like we have been for a month (and I have no reason to think we won't), then our trip will be quick.

Are there any potential 10 or 11 seeds who are 250+ in forced turnovers?

Well the unforced turnovers are going to happen no matter who we play. These dudes would turn the ball over if they were only being defended by air. A team that doesn't force many is less likely to get us to turn it over 20 times though.
