SOG, I disagree with one thing. If we had one of these guys I am fixing to mention this would be an entirely different team and those are Herb Jones & John Petty.
We have nobody who is willing to get into an argument with his teammates to make them play DEFENSE. I bet this team haven't even had one FIGHT at practice. They are soft mentally & physically. Coach Oats can only do so much that's all I'm saying.
He needs to process PLAYERS like Saban does.

It’s year 3. We can’t bring up guys that were outgoing seniors. I mean if he wanted to use Primo as an excuse and was caught off guard with him leaving, ok, but you have to replace seniors either through solid recruiting or the portal

Oats hasn't done a very good job this year. It happens. He's young in head coaching career. It's not fun but it is what it is. He has to learn from it and get better.
I'm still very happy to have him as the coach at Alabama.

I didn’t go to bed mad when we lost to UGA on 1/10. That was for the whole shebang.

It's not just replacing people. If you lack a great leader on your team then you will not be good. Coach Oats is handicapped because of this. He thought JQ & Ellis was going to be able too lead but that didn't happen sometimes it's just is what it is...

Who ever said anything about firing him? I side with the head coach more often than not, but he's not above question. This is a team with what may become the weirdest NCAAT resume of all time. When your team is ALWAYS playing down to their competition, the coach has to get through to them. I'm not a revisionist who's going to claim it was Avery's players last season, but there should be a middle ground where everyone can agree that this hasn't been an overall great coaching job thus far this season.

I just figured out something.
The SEC schedulers were trying to set up a big time matchup with Alabama and Baylor.
Alabama has been gifted about as easy as an SEC schedule can be:
4 of 4 road games against the lower half of the league. Result 1-3 record.
4 home games, good competition, result 3-1.
But, we screwed it all up and now Baylor will just waltz into Coleman Coliseum and pick up a ho hum double digit win that no national fan will even raise an eyebrow over.
Now we have games on the road like LSU, Kentucky, Auburn.
We're not winning any of those.

I don’t want to fire Oats, I want to fire the team. The starters need to be sat for a LONG time and Oats needs to tell them if we’re going to lose, we’re going to lose with scrubs and walk-ons that will bust their arse at least. I’m not sure I’d let Quinerly off the bench. He’d have a damn short leash.

All I know about Q is that he should have gone in last years draft. His stock this year is not near as good as how he finished last season.

Thank you! Nate Oats has laid the foundation and these guys trying to revert back to the Avery Johnson years.
