If their shot selection improves they could win it all. That's their big weakness. Sasser will knock down some 3s with a hand in his face, but he takes a ton of dumb, selfish shots.
Also, the lack of self awareness from the LSU and Auburn fanbases right now is hilarious. They're very upset about a fake handshake. Thank God Will Wade and Bruce Pearl hold themselves to a higher standard than that.

the crowd felt loud on tv but it's hard to see much. 10,613 attendance. I was hoping we'd get to 12k but lots of work xmas parties and the late start likely didn't help much.
I hate the students not being back for the Tenn game in late December. I'd much rather play on the road in that first SEC game of the year if it's in December and students are gone.
Can't believe we won that game when they had 23 more shots. Crazy.
Penny gonna get it!

I had given my tickets to my nephew but I ended up going because he forgot about his wife’s work Christmas party. Crowd energy was great, and it felt like there were more than 10,613 there. Grateful for my mom’s friend who stayed up late and let me and my son crash at her house.
Looking at the box score, it’s pretty amazing we won this game. And that guy for Houston is like a ball magnet on missed shots. He has a sixth sense knowing where the missed shot is going and gets himself into position. It was fun watching him, if not frustrating as a Bama fan.

Free throws were the difference. We shot 77% and outscored them 24-11 at the line. Sure will make things easier if we can keep that percentage up.

The SI write ups. No more 9 pm tipoffs please. Awesome crowd - lots of noise and lots of standing. Great atmosphere. Great win. RTR!

Nate Oats owns LSU fans heads in a way I'm not even sure Nick Saban does

Pretty much the only way we're going to beat teams with the length and athleticism to clog up passing lanes and take away our kick out 3s. Fortunately there aren't very many of them, and even fewer with the kind of coaching you need to pull off that defensive gameplan.

Only 1 rebound each for Bed and Gurley, have to get better out of those 2.Chuck needs a year in weight room.He gets pushed around too much .He has potential to be great

Bediako had never played in a game that fast or that physical around the rim. Great learning experience for him. That's why you play these games before conference play.

I gotta say, I love our dickhead of a basketball coach

Right this second, they look like a better TEAM than Gonzaga. Far more cohesive as a unit.
Definitely a tougher matchup for us with their length and athleticism. I hope they are on the other side of the bracket come March.

Gurley has pretty much been the only disappointment to me so far. I had such high hopes for him when he transferred and he hasn’t done much whatsoever. The season is still young though so he’s got plenty of time to flip a switch and play a bigger role.

I'm trying to figure out where and when Oats became such a sore subject fir LSU fans.
I'm assuming it stems from the ending of the SEC tournament championship game.
Nonetheless, they need someone to be mad at. They've got the douche coach of the SEC.

LSU fans still pissed about being swept 3 games last year.
Breaking their hearts in the SEC Tournament when their supposed game winning shot did everything but go through the net.
Oats confidently shouting their way "get the flip outta here".
They've accepted being dominated by the TIDE in football.
They'll damn sure lose their mind if it's basketball as well.

Only negative right now is we need to get Ellis going. He seems to have disappeared lately.

Houston made the final 4 last season with many of those same players last night.
Baylor ultimately winning it all with their physicality around the rim, 3 point shooting.
Sampson's team's have always played hard. However, you could see they had beefed up, gotten physically stronger since final 4 loss to Baylor.
They won't lose no more than 4-6 games this year due to their size/athleticism.

With as well as he shot the ball against Miami, you’d think he would playing with confidence but he hasn’t looked good offensively against Gonzaga or Houston. He wanted to do anything but shoot last night and he had an opportunity to knock down a couple clutch shots and didn’t. On the flip side, to have two great wins in a row with Ellis giving little to nothing on one end of the court says a lot about how good we can potentially be.
