Ugly basketball offensively from free throws and wild shots/turnovers.
But the defense was pretty damn solid. Should prob be up about 6-10
Come out and set the tone the first 5 mins of the 2nd half and with Iona’s offense looking shaky minus a few breakdowns and we could make them panic

Just caught up... Between the awful turnovers and just straight dumb wild shots driving the basketball. Lucky to be ahead

Only 2 assists indicates ball movement could improve. 6-11 on FTs and 8 TOs is annoying.

Not saying the team would be better without shack. But been a ball stopper today

So, I love Oats and hope he stays a long, long time (rabbit trail: build a new arena!!), but it doesn’t sound good when he says the “I’m not looking forward to playing them” type comments. I got it when he said that about the overall schedule and maybe even when he said it about the opening game vs. LaTech, but when he said it about Iona it started sounding like a potential mindset problem. I prefer an “anybody, anytime” attitude or the “we love the challenge” comments. I’m sure he isn’t letting it carry over to practices, but the team really looks disinterested in Iona as the opponent, almost as if they are tolerating this game as something they have to do rather than being excited to play it. I imagine the team would be a lot more positively energized to play someone like Kansas and can’t imagine Oats saying that about that type of an opponent.

I think it's just a "you don't think they are good because you guys look at the name on the jersey but they are and I'm trying to convey that".
I mean he scheduled this insane schedule. He pretty clearly has a anybody anytime attitude.

I hope Oats never leaves. I don’t think it’s as deep as you’re saying, I think it’s just Rick Pitino that’s in his head

Am I wrong for thinking that Shack has regressed to the place he was early last season?
I felt like he got way better finishing at the rim as the season went on.
