Pretty much. I mean can you imagine if a program that out of control also had former football players caught on film paying current players thousands of dollars in cash after a big win, or spent years covering up for a football coach who was treating the athletic department like his own personal brothel, or hired a women's basketball coach who suggested that fans get violent with people who didn't want their daughters to be raped? A place like that should just be shut down altogether.

It reads like it's violations at cal Northridge. I thought the NC State violations are why he took the cal Northridge job

One of the few successful Bama coaches that got fired for being a dick rather than because of his dick.

It's love a link for that one. That's new to me.

Edit: Nevermind. That was surprisingly easy to find.

She's fricking crazy as hell. Couldn't have found a more perfect fit. She probably already posts on the political board.

Congratulations to this group of outstanding young men graduating from UA this weekend. Proud is an understatement when thinking of all they’ve accomplished during their time here

The time he spent putting from the rough aplayed a role in him getting fired. It wasn't the biggest reason, but it absolutely shortened the rope.

Love those graduation photos on the last page. The cool thing is our players look like they genuinely like each other.

Alabama basketball fans shouldn’t expect any drop-off come fall with the way Nate Oats and company have recruited. The marquee addition of UA’s 2021 class is five-star point guard JD Davison. The McDonald’s All-American is ranked the No. 1 point guard and the No. 9 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, after a senior season that saw the Letohatchee (Ala.) Calhoun product average 32.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.

“As a player, you know, he’s a coach’s dream,” Calhoun head coach Ervin Starr told BamaOnLine. “He already had a very good basketball IQ and he just kept adding to that each year. Add that to the fact that he’s clearly one of the best athletes in the country, regardless of sport. And his work ethic, that’s the thing I really love about that kid. His work ethic has never wavered ever since I’ve known him. He’s always going to continue to work and continue to get better. He grew so much as a leader, as far as being a leader on our team. When he started off as a freshman, he had a bunch of seniors and juniors on the team already. Even though he didn’t want to get thrown into that leadership role, over the last two years you saw him grow and really lead his team and do what he needed to do as far as helping the team win games and of course a championship. He’s remained humble throughout that whole process and he’s really grown as a young man.”

Watching Davison perform, it’s hard to find a whole lot of room for improvement. But that will undoubtedly continue to happen.

“He’s going to continue get better shooting the ball, number one,” Starr said. “Of course he’s got the highlights, but he’s a great point guard. As a freshman and sophomore, he was one of the best point guards in the country. That’s what people kind of forgot about. His passing ability and his court vision and his basketball IQ, those are his best attributes. I think a lot of people forget that because they always see the highlight dunks and plays that he makes. But he’s a complete basketball player and he really understands the game. That’s going to continue to grow as well because JD thirsts for that knowledge and he soaks it up like a sponge. When he gets to that next level with Coach Oats and his staff, they’re going to bring out the best of him. Again, with his athletic ability, if he makes a mistake, he can overcome those mistakes because he’s so athletic.”

Starr shared his thoughts on the job the UA staff has done since Oats' arrival.

“I’m not a Roll Tide guy, per se, but at the same time I think he’s done the best job in the last two years of anybody in the country,” Starr said. “Recruiting-wise they’ve come a long way since he’s got there, they’re recruiting guys that fit his system that are actually quality players. The style Alabama plays, to get somebody like JD … that was their first guy to make sure they kept. When Coach Oats got here, I got a phone call from Coach (Antoine) Pettway two days after he arrived in Tuscaloosa and Coach Pettway said they were coming up tomorrow. I was like ‘wow.’ It just shows that if you commit to Alabama, Alabama is going to commit to you. And that went a long way in getting JD to go there. JD is a loyalist. That’s the reason he stayed here at Calhoun when he could have gone anywhere in the country. When (Oats) showed up here on campus with the whole staff, I think that sold JD right there.”
