I thought all of Pringles’ fouls were fair calls. And this isn’t a one game issue for him either.
No problem with Pringle getting hooked around the neck and elbowed 3 times in the face before he's the one called for the foul? That was the worst call of the entire game.
I get that blaming officials shouldn't be a go-to, but I'll typically get heated during the game and level out later on the officiating. That leveling out isn't happening this time because anyone with a set of eyes that isn't a Big 10 affiliate can see we were hosed by officiating today. I'm never the one to blame officiating, but seeing what Edey got away with and how strictly our bigs were called (nearly half of them should've went the other way), I'd say it's okay to have a gripe with the officials for today.

There is no doubt that Stevenson will be a good player in the future, but I don't think he is ready to face the Power Five right now.

That’s fair. Then Oats knows more than other’s who may give an opinion on this one (me included).
IMO, Mo D gets in and immediately thinks he has to shoot before he gets taken out. Absolutely kills the offense and if he was good enough to do that, he’d be starting. He’s the opposite of Sam, practically unplayable due to his Offense (good to see Sam is capable of covering slower midwesterners…he’d be a killer in the Big10).
Cosby deserves his shot, but he’s one of the shortest guys on the team vs Stevenson being one of our tallest. In a game against a 7’4 Wooden Award winner, Cosby’s minutes have nothing to do with Stevenson’s minutes. Maybe he should have spelled Sears a bit more, but Estrada being broken means he can’t pick up the slack when Cosby comes in (also not sure Cosby is physical enough for a game like this…Oats has said his defense still isn’t where it needs to be).

As of now, everything is ambiguous for Stevenson.
What can he do in the current offense?
He stands on the wing or in the corner. His 3-point shot is not a threat to opposing teams. The same goes for his drive-in. He has no confidence whatsoever. It shows a soft appearance in the low post.
And the pick-and-roll is also sloppy. He's not a good screener.
So what can he do on defense?
He has good outside defense considering his height. But even so, he still has issues with inside defense. He has a low vertical jump and lacks physicality, so he has issues with rebounding and blocks.

Not sure why you’re singling out Stevenson, he is supposed to be a sr in HS and was playing in one of his first big college games, trying to rebound and score vs Zach Edey. Stevenson will be fine, he’s been solid most of the season.

Joka…we gotta stop playing so much drop coverage. Teams are killing us when we play it this year

I also think the same way.
I'm just saying his performance and situation against the Power Five right now and I just hope he improves if there's a better way to win.

We are now #312 in Luck.
Our luck has been pretty shitty. Our opponents have made some crazy arse shots this year. Plenty of easy ones too, but definitely some crazy ones.

Sears played his azz off today. Felt like he we really leaned on him down the stretch and he delivered as much as one could wish.
As good of guard play we get on the offensive end, other guards seem to have a field day against us. Estrada was the head scratcher for me today. Thought he had some good matchups and was mostly passive.
One thing is for sure, we got the weapons. Might be that we don’t peak until February for a change and this competition/record keeps us hungry

I liked Oats postgame interview, said “we’re right there with the best teams in the country I’d put us up against any of them”

I guess the people that have been complaining against Rylan all year have moved onto complaining about the other players, but Griffen had a good game today. 7 rebs, 5 asists, and 8 points.

Estrada was awful today and Grant wasn’t much better. Need more from those two. Grant just will not commit to going to the basket.
Nelson had 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 11 points on a hurt ankle he played fine.
Estrada had a good game aside from scoring, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks and had a lot of hustle plays, got some loose balls ect. He and Nelson both were big parts of us hanging with Purdue. Theres more to basketball than scoring. Nelson probably had his best game of the year so far on defense.

Yiu dont think the hirt ankle had something to do with that? He couldnt practice til yesterday.
Estrada hurt his ankle early in this game and played though it. They both showed a lot of heart and toughness today.
