We’re #1 in strength of schedule in the KenPom rankings, Houston is 153rd.

We beat ‘em.

Why are they #1 in the country and we’re 5th?

This is why you shouldn't pay attention to the polls. Yeah, it's nice to have a nice ranking by your name when a game is going on but I trust the advanced metrics more than people who throw a poll together that's heavily influenced by just W/L.

The rant still doesn't really have a game thread, just a 'Nate Oats is a bitch thread and he owns us'.

I don’t want to be insensitive but our rotations have been a lot better without trying to find a role for Miles. Hopefully if he’s back, it’s just as cheerleader or last man off the bench if it’s a blowout.

For Alabama Basketball, It's About The "Others" (SI)

Very few teams have players at the back of the rotation they trust, but the Crimson Tide has guys who not only maintain, but can build upon the starters.

Best place to park if you don't have a parking pass? Advice appreciated.

I haven’t parked there but posters have given high marks to the shopping center lot just across the railroad tracks on Hargrove (Hackbury) - west side of the road. There’s also street parking over by the hotel and churches but I imagine it fills up quickly.

Edit: If all else fails here’s the gameday parking map UA Gameday parking

That's EXACTLY what I like so much about this team. You hardly have any "bad nights". There's gonna nearly always be somebody
"on top" of their game on any given night.
One of my closest friends is a retired, well known basketball coach, and he voiced some concern about the fact that Oats hasn't seemed to have started any type of substitution/rotation rhythm for his bench, and I said that with so much depth, it seems like he could afford much more flexibility with substitutions. He then mentioned making sure of the "minutes" for non-starters, and having to keep morale high.
I guess there's a fine line to handling a "good" problem like that.
