I don’t think Oats is leaving any time soon, but there is always a slim possibility when big dollars will be thrown around. And the fact that a new arena looks dead.

I’m pretty sure we will give Oats a raise after this season, but I don’t think there is any doubt when it comes down to it, Texas will pay more for a basketball coach than Alabama will.

But, with the age is kids are, and how he’s got things rolling here, I’d like to think he’d stay, even if it meant leaving a few dollars on the table.

Oats is generally seen as the worse version of Musselman on the Texas board. Very few have him in their Top 3. I am very ok with that

Texas was paying Beard 5 million. I doubt they offer anyone quite that much. Just pay Oats 4.5 and be done with it

Don't want them to hire Cal either. Cuz if they do and Kentucky comes after Oats I could see him leaving for Kentucky more than Texas.
