They were unreal in the midrange/floater game. Which is by design because it’s the worst shot in the game. Usually it works but this is one of the rare times the opponent is unconscious from that area today.

Plus Timme abused our 7’0 center

And Sears. But that's how she goes sometimes.

I can't say I'm completely surprised. This was a must win for Gonzaga. And they are a team full of veterans. They lose this, they'd probably be a 6 or 7 seed. This keeps them as a 2 or 3. Don't underestimate that urgency

Gonzaga just sliced us up. Props to them.

Yep. I thought we were okay. I’m still pleased with where we are at the moment.

We’ll need to figure out how to defend skilled bigs though moving forward. All our guys in high school a year ago would have never seen an offense as fluid as Few’s bunch.

We got bullied by the Zags and we took Houston’s best shot. Kind of weird but we went 2-1 so I’m proud of our coaches and team. We have some soul searching to do to limit these turnovers. We also have to take smarter shots. It’s why Gonzaga didn’t have many misses they took nice midrange looks and wide open threes. We also have to let Miller use his midrange jumper. The kid is absolutely lethal with it.

He isn't even impressive. He's got a good post game, that's undeniable. But he's so fricking slow and lacks a good jumpshot. A good defensive team will do a much better job against him.

end. I don’t see anything fundamentally wrong with this team that shouldn’t be fixed by the time it really matters.

I want to believe the turnovers will be fixed. But it just keeps on happening every game

But this game and Memphis, clear red flags on defense heading into conference play

I want to write it off as giving up a bunch of midrange fade-aways, floaters, and contested 3s, but there were also plenty of breakdowns that led to a bunch of uncontested, easy shots. We obviously miss Burnett a lot. I'm really not sure where the frick they came up with today's plan on defense though. It's like the whole gameplan was predicated on Bediako being able to limit Timme by himself and when that clearly wasn't going to happen no adjustment was made.

It was our front court who was TERRIBLE.

CHARLIE HENRY is to blame.

??? Clowney had 9pts and 13 reb.

Sears had a rough one.

Bediako was horrendous

With The pace that we play at I expect more turnovers than most teams. I've always been curious to see our number of possessions per game versus turnovers as a percentage. But this shite is ugly as hell. I can understand some due to the amount of freshman. But the way that Quinn has regressed, is frustrating as a sixth year senior.

I'm just not that upset. Losing Burnett was a big blow, especially against a team that plays offense like Gonzaga does. He was the lynchpin that allowed the inexperienced guys to make some mistakes defensively and not break down as a unit.

Gonzaga made a bunch of shots, we played on our heels. It happens.

The weird thing with them is that they come in bunches. We will turn it over 17 times in one half and 4 in the other. So it's not that they aren't capable of playing without turning it over. We just have to figure out what the common denominator is when we go on those turnover binges and fix it.

Still a very good non conference resume.

Gonna go 10-2 with wins over Michigan State, UNC, Houston, and Memphis. Plus a couple of our midmajors will take off once conference play starts. Also still have Oklahoma to potentially add to the resume

No, he basically just abused Bediako. And we can throw Oats into that because he left Bediako on him way too long. I would have gone with the more athletic Clowney and give up the 2 inches. I think his athleticism would have given Timme problems.

Yeah they were like 17/23 in the second half at one point. Pretty ridiculous. Brandon Miller is a god though and I hope this just propels him more

I don’t think Oats is gonna recruit another big like Bediako. He just doesn’t fit. He would be a really really good player in the B1G where that play fits his style
