Should there be concerns about Jahvon Quinerly? Not Yet (SI)

What was the attendance last night? Do we release attendance numbers on RollTide.com? Or somewhere else like ESPN?
I haven’t noticed them anywhere.
I thought I heard CStewart say it was close to a sell-out.

My guesstimate was it was about 70 - 75% full. Not having the students here hurt attendance a bit leaving that upper corner empty.
Surprisingly there were a good bit of Memphis fans there last night. I wasn’t expecting that.

I saw it listed somewhere as 9,195 which would be about 60%, but I never trust those numbers.

One positive surprise for me this year has been Sears’ defense. He’s not a lockdown defender, but he’s also not a liability.

Agree. He's physically limited but he knows how to defend and knows how to mask his limitations to the best of his ability.

He’s a fairly decent rebounder as well which will continue to be important without Nimari.

I can relate.

That’s what is listed on the box score. I thought that typically meant the number of tickets sold. It did seem more full than 60% but I can’t imagine every sold ticket being used.

More than the lack of sellout, which I can understand for a 8 o'clock tip on a Tuesday, is the viewing on TV I see of the multitudes of 70 year old couples along the front row that sit there nonchalantly watching the game with their arms crossed.
Can we at least move them to the other side of the court?

Wimp said on the tide 100.9 pregame show last night that there were a lot of times he walked out and looked up at the Coleman crowd when they were coming off a big win or having a good season and thought “there ought to be a lot more people here supporting us than there are”.

seemed more full than that to me too.
I've never seen a team hold/grab like that all night long. Great win!!
Hats off to Miles for the big night too. Good for him.

Yep. Sears is a little bulldog. He's not close to the biggest or most athletic player on the floor, but he gets after it and doesn't back down.

I think we could fill a new 10,000/11,000 seat arena about every game if the bball program could become a consistent winner again.
Coleman has too many seats. Just over 10,000 is prefect for a bball arena imo, Houston's holds 7000 and was very loud with the way its designed with the low ceiling. Auburn holds 9,000. Texas' new moody center holds 10,000 for bball.

Heck, Quinerly coming off of an ACL injury hasn't been half the liability on that end that he was last season fully healthy. Crazy the difference that a team buying in to that end of the floor makes.

I’m so excited for Saturday. Huge game and I’ve never been to Legacy Arena. Can’t wait!

I went and saw Tool in concert there not long ago, this will be my first time going there for a bball game. Cant wait.

I will unfortunately be going down to Orlando for the weekend for a wedding and a quick trip to Disney/Universal.
Does anyone know of a good area to watch the game? I've been told Epcot may have a couple spots with TVs.

I don't know what a lot of people are seeing from JQ but I see a guy who at times press to try too make something happen that's when he turns it over.
People can say whatever they want I understand that but Jahvon Quinerly is the ONLY player on this team who can get by anybody at anytime he wants.
Jahvon Quinerly only issue right now is that he's lacking CONFIDENCE. He's missing layups/floaters, wide open three's, and turning it over here lately. (He's darn good at layups if nothing else)
Quinerly has defended, rebounded, and been a better teammate than last season.
A CONFIDENT Jahvon Quinerly is better than anybody in the country and he's already proven it. Keep working JQ despite the noise!
