I thought Gurley played really well today. Bediako showed signs. Sears was great.
Q and Miller with the iso ball…I mean it was tough to watch.

That was a great tournament for us. Got 2 tough wins over solid teams and played 3 games where we learned a ton about our strengths and weaknesses.

Brandon Miller got a welcome to reality stretch which will do nothing but help him. Other dudes got a chance to find themselves (Chuck). Everyone got a chance to play against other high level players.

Great week, solid results.

One major criticism I have of Oats as a coach is that whenever we find ourselves in the final minutes of a tight game our offensive identity goes out the window and it's just pure iso ball with minimal passing or off ball movement. Just 1-2 guys repeatedly making ill advised drives into the lane trying to make a contested shot or get fouled. We stop trying to create good looks by moving the ball. I just do not understand it and it concerns me a bit as far as making deep postseason runs go, because if you make it to the Final Four you probably got there by winning at least a couple of nailbiters.

March?

When tomorrow morning rolls around nobody will care. It was a November game going up against the NFL for TV eyes.

The overwhelming majority of even college basketball fans are going to turn on SportsCenter, see Alabama beat #1 ranked North Carolina in 4OTs and say "damn, looks like Nate Oats got those boys rolling!"

I agree with you there.

I thought we should of ran when we got rebounds so their defense couldn't get set.

He's most definitely got to work on his left hand!

I think with Clowney...we win this game easily. Just hope he's okay!

Somebody might've said this already.

Shooting a little better than 13-21 from the line would have helped a lot too.

Yep. The hero ball stuff is maddening but it doesn’t look like we were ever planning to try something else each period.

I don't think it's hero ball but like we did the same thing with Herb Jones and it worked. It takes time too get use to doing it with inexperienced guys.

It's hard to defend if everybody is moving like they are suppose to and not just standing around.

Apparently Leaky Black's mom went on Twitter and accused Nate of saying something really foul. When she was pressed about what was actually said, she said she couldn't repeat it and then changed her profile to private.

On a side note, does anyone agree with me that today Bill Walton was somewhat tolerable?

Let's not go crazy here, at least he wasn't rambling on about the Tennessee River or Mussel Shoals.
He was actually trying to provide some insight to the basketball game at hand

Oats was apologizing to Davis in the handshake line about something if you go back and look at it.

I said the same thing during the UCLA game 2 years ago. Fine line between letting kids play and pulling them in when situation necessitates. Oats seems to not do it.
