UNC said it would be difficult for him to compete for playing time even if he reclassified, and UVA thought it would be worth it for him to redshirt if he reclassified.
I, too, had hoped he would play a year in prep school rather than reclassify. Because although he has potential, he felt he was not yet physically and mentally ready to play in college basketball because the position required a lot of physical fighting.

Think that there are going to be conference games where Nelson just doesn't exist, and others where he puts up 22 and 12. He seems like the type of player who can disappear for long stretches if you aren't actively looking to get him engaged.

Yeah they were saying this cause they knew they weren't gonna get him. He would be playing if he went there, he would be one of their 5 or 6 best players.

I wish we would get the same preseason respect Arkansas and Tennessee continually get. Because of their hype they get UNC and Duke and we got stuck with fricking Clemson

They moved up to 96 after they beat ya'll they weren't in the top 100 before the game.
You guys always seem to be average til the tournament then you peak in the tournament, I wouldnt be too worried.

Musselman's roster construction approach is basically to amass as much talent as possible and figure out what to do with it later. They always start slow while he figures out what to do with the players he has.
