I’ve got Reed Shappard on my college basketball fantasy team, he’s a beast.

Indication of how stubborn the analytics get towards the end of the year. They lost at home to the 215st ranked team

I mean it kinda makes sense. Not really fair to dismiss ~25 games worth of data that says a team is very good over one bad night. The inverse is true too. At this point in the season it should take a few good or bad games to really change your opinion of a team.

On a related note, 4 consecutive years of not giving a shite about the bubble has been fricking fantastic.

Great video. That should be played for every middle school and high school kid in America.

Oh I agree. It’s just such a stark contrast from the pollsters method that we all are familiar with

Still, lot of basketball left.

I'm not even going to say it.

Imagine if we flipped just one game in the 3 game OOC stretch of doom to a win

It amazing how many of those top 19 other seeds (including next) we've already played.

Griffen should be on there too based on the listed criteria. His BPR is higher than Wrightsell's and he's at 11ppg.

I asked for an explanation on this. He responded by saying it goes beyond what their individual stat line says. I responded asking how the guy who is tasked with guarding the best perimeter player every game and has a higher BPR than the vast majority of the list (which to my understanding goes beyond the individual stat line) all while on the 7th best team in BPR doesn't qualify as going beyond his individual stat line showing his impact. I feel like it's just a mistake. These advanced stat guys are a very proud bunch.

Guess shooting 80% on 20-foot jumpers like they did against us wasn't sustainable.
