think our fans need to pump the brakes a little on Dioubate. He's tough and a good rebounder, for his size. But, he's also an undersized 4 that is going to struggle mightily trying to defend a good 5 post player. And his offense is early Herb level.
He has a role very similar to Gary on the 21 team. Just a guy that’s gonna play hard and do all the Blue Collar stuff. It’s something we need.
And btw he is miles ahead of Herb on offense when Herb was a freshman

If Gameday isn’t in Tuscaloosa March 2nd we will never get them for Basketball

Herb missed something like his last 24 three-pointers at Ala. That's sort of hard to do. Amazing how well he shoots today
I remember that well... The crazy part is here were Herb's final senior year 3 point numbers:
20/57 = 35.1 % Not bad, Not Great...
Prior to that Crazy cold streak, he was 20/38 = 53 %, exceptional
Herb's junior year he made 1 three pointer.

Thats a good comparison. I think Dioubate is a lot more similar to Gary than Herb. Not a big fan of the Herb-Dioubate conparison.
As a Freshman (rs freshman for Gary)
Per 40 minutes
Gary - 12 rebs 16 points
Dioubate - 11 rebs 16 points
Both are around 215 lbs too. I think Herb was more like 195-200 lbs as a freshman.

A win at Auburn gives us a good shot at a 3 seed.

We’d probabky move up to a 2 seeed if we win at Auburn, we’re currently projected to be a 3 seed.

But I do think Oats has known something about him all year long and has continued to try to find his spots for him. I love the way he rebounds and I think he is naturally one of those guys who annoys the hell out of you when he defends.
He's also one of those dudes who plays so hard on defense that it gets everyone else going if only to avoid being shown up by a freshman and getting called out for it in film review. I mean that's kind of how Oats is using him from what I can tell. We start slacking up on defense and Mo goes into the game.

I like how Jarin Stevenson’s playing lately, in the last 6 games he’s shooting 50% from 3. Rebounding and defending better too, seems more aggressive all around.

That’d be great. I saw us as a 3 seed on ESPN I figured that was wrong.

Crazy stat:
Alabama guard Mark Sears has 13 games of at least 20 points this season.
That’s one game shy of tying Brandon Miller’s mark of 14 such games last season. Sears still has 9 regular season games left, plus multiple chances in the postseason.

This will be the first time Alabama and Auburn have met as top-20 teams in nearly 40 years.
On Jan. 21, 1987, No. 13 Alabama beat No. 17 Auburn 88-82 inside Coleman Coliseum.
With the release of this week’s AP Poll, Wednesday’s matchup features No. 12 Auburn and No. 16 Alabama.

Here are some of the highest ranked bracketologists and where they have Bama. I only included ones that have been updated since Saturday
#2: 2nd highest 3-seed
#9: Highest 3-seed
#11: 3 seed
#16: Highest 3 seed
#17: Second highest 3-seed
For a while we were all over the place because our record didn’t match our NET ranking. That seems to have fixed itself

Stevenson really resembles his father.
Stevenson's father played professionally overseas for 20 years and retired at the age of 43. He was one of the best shooters in Europe and Asia, introverted, incredibly conscientious and team-first mindset.
I don't know how long Stevenson will be in college, but I'm really happy that he's coming to Bama.

When is Walters going to show us his elite shooting? He’s even missing layups. Hope to see him come around in some critical games.
Would be nice to see him demoralize Awbarn/ Tennessee/ Kentucky with 3-point daggers and especially in the Tournament.

He's shooting 44% from 3, even after having a couple off games. What do you want?

Do you know his 3pt percentage? I’ll save you the trouble even though your take is moronic. He’s shooting 44% from 3.

Beat me to it. Takes 30secs to look at Rolltide.com
You can tell who watches games and who reads articles.

Probably about the same time Sears shows us something as a scorer.

Girls just went on a 14-0 run to go ahead of Vandy in Memorial. Would be a nice win against a solid opponent if they can pull it out.
Posted on 2/5/24 at 7:55 pm to 1LoudTideFan
Looks like they’re gonna finish it. Nice win for them against a decent team.

Ladies win 84-76
That is 12 in a row over Vandy.
